Amy Adams is having an impressive 2024 in terms of both critical acclaim and appearing in multiple notable movies. There’s an argument to be made that she is one of the most successful modern movie stars still working in Hollywood. Not only does Amy Adams have six Academy Award nominations and nine Golden Globe nods with two wins, but she’s also a blockbuster staple, playing Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s DCEU and starring as the Disney princess Giselle in Enchanted.
Even Adams’ minor roles are in acclaimed television shows and movies. The Office, Tenacious D, Smallville, and Catch Me If You Can can all count Adams as a cast member. Since 2005 with Junebug and her first Academy Award nomination, every year has been a banner one for the actor. The fact that 2024 can even be considered one of her best is a testament to her breadth of talent. With two highly anticipated films on the docket and a TIFF tribute award, 2024 is shaping up to be the year of Amy Adams.
