The likes of “No Way Out”, “Too Far Gone”, and “Pretty Much Dead Already” stand out as some of The Walking Dead‘s best episodes, which are filled with scenes that made the franchise famous.

Although there were a handful of disappointments, The Walking Dead usually produced incredible premieres and finales which were key to making the zombie series so popular. Having midseason breaks also allowed each season to essentially have two premieres and two finales, almost guaranteeing four great episodes every year. Occasionally, more character-focused episodes break this cycle like “The Grove” or “What Comes After” which show the series’ versatility and allow for some powerful payoffs. “Here’s Negan” also provided some wonderful performances and added depth to one of the show’s most complex characters.
