Welcome To Plathville star Kim Plath and her ex-husband Barry Plath’s divorce proceedings have been made public, giving viewers an inside look into the shocking custody requests Kim made when filing. Kim, who shares 9 children with her ex-husband Barry, has been quiet about her divorce in the public eye. Though it will be revisited during Welcome To Plathville season 6, the divorce was a shock to those who watched the show in the early seasons. Kim and Barry, who have been able to remain mostly civil, held their religion in such high esteem that divorcing was a major surprise.
According to In Touch Weekly, Kim requested specific custody terms regarding the couple’s three minor children, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy. “Plaintiff shows that she is a fit and proper parent to care for the minor children and that she is entitled to both temporary and permanent primary custody of the minor children,” the legal documentation states, explaining that Kim is meant to be the holder of primary custody for the kids. Typically, if both parents are in the picture, they are granted joint custody of their children and work through visitation schedules. With Kim requesting primary custody, many are confused.
