The producer also added that they are expecting it to be good, which could prompt Disney to give them a green signal. The writing of the script suggests that the flywheels of Pirates of the Caribbean 6‘s production are gradually moving forward, raising hope that the film might eventually see the light of day. It may not mean much until Disney approves it, but it is still a step forward.

Earlier in May 2024, Bruckheimer had also given new insights into Margot Robbie’s Pirates of the Caribbean movie by revealing that Disney was keen on getting the film made. From the looks of it, even though Bruckheimer’s updates provide a glimmer of hope, the movie sequel is not releasing anytime soon. Once its script gets finalized, the casting process will be another major challenge since it is uncertain whether Johnny Depp will return as Jack Sparrow after all the controversies.

Once the casting is out of the way and the actors’ schedules are aligned for filming, Pirates of the Caribbean‘s production could snowball and gain significant momentum. However, with so many variables still involved in the process, it just seems unlikely that everything will suddenly fall into place for the movie sequel. After reading Bruckheimer’s comments, I would like to believe that Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is almost on the horizon. With all the new updates surrounding its development, if the film’s production does not move forward soon, the franchise could further risk losing its relevance and even diminish audience interest. While I am glad that Pirates of the Caribbean 6‘s production is finally gaining some ground behind the scenes, its glacial pace still concerns me.
