As seen in the preview, the Radiants are conversing and conglomerating across the world – San Francisco, New Orleans, and Chicago (from the Other Timeline) – as they come together for one (super)massive team-up. Traditionally, the Radiants have always had trouble being on the same page, but this time is different. The stakes could not be higher in the midst of the Catalyst War, referring to a robotic war that stretches across two timelines and demands Shift, the Dead Lucky, Radiant Pink (the youngest Radiant) and others to take back control.

The Massive-Verse has been an intriguing experiment by Image Comics, and one of the most exciting things taking place in the comic industry currently. Marvel and DC often have events, but it’s rare to see a genuine, long-lasting status quo change when so many of its most popular characters need to be kept more or less as they are. Marvel and DC can only take so many risks, while the Massive-Verse was bold enough to switch out its main character in just the fourth issue of Radiant Black. It truly feels like anything can happen in the Massive-Verse, and even more so now, as the Catalyst War reaches its zenith.
For years, the Massive-Verse has been changing how fans interact with comics, and its first major event is already showing an incredible level of ambition, changing the stakes and alliances of this world. Image Comics is clearly preparing for something Supermassive fans can’t afford to miss, and which those new to the franchise can use to see what all the fuss is about.
