It wasn’t always clear what he actually thought of Dwight, and Chickie generally followed Pete’s orders and the rules of the mafia.

Russo seemed like the obvious antagonist of Reacher season 2 when he was first introduced, but he turned out to be a good cop and an ally. Chickie became openly hostile to Dwight at the end of Tulsa King season 1, but he was never a major threat to Dwight’s criminal empire. He mostly stayed in New York, and the one time he went to Tulsa to openly oppose Dwight, Goodie betrayed him and he was immediately run out of town. Chickie seemed mostly incompetent and unstable in Tulsa King season 1, and it was hard to tell exactly what role he’d play in the future of the show. However, a compelling theory suggests that Chickie could become Tulsa King season 2’s main villain.

The theory suggests that Chickie’s plan to take Dwight down in Tulsa King season 1 was actually a diversion. Instead, Chickie might have told Goodie, his longtime enforcer, to pretend to defect so he could gain Dwight’s trust and double-cross him. If that proves to be true, it would establish Chickie as the main antagonist of the entire show, and make him one of the biggest threats to Dwight’s criminal empire. How Domenick Lombardozzi’s Tulsa King Character Compares To Reacher’s Guy Russo

While they play very similar roles in their respective shows, Chickie and Russo were very different characters. Russo, though he seemed like a bad guy, was confident, assertive, and incredibly effective. He was smart, as he found Franz’s document, which Jack missed, and he was a brave fighter, as he sacrificed himself and took down a few assailants. Chickie, on the other hand, was self-conscious, indecisive, and unhinged. He couldn’t get out of his father’s shadow, and once he finally killed Pete and took his place, his plans only got worse and less effective.

Though Russo and Chickie are drastically different characters, and they could accomplish very different things. Russo gave Reacher season 2 a lot of its emotional weight, both in his death and in how he helped Neagley overcome her fear of physical contact. Chickie, on the other hand, could give Tulsa King season 2 much of its suspense and stakes, if he does turn out to be the villain. In any case, both Reacher and Tulsa King definitively highlight one thing: Domenick Lombardozzi’s range as an actor.
