When considering Marvel Comics’ supernatural side, there are two characters who arguably stand out as the most powerful: Scarlet Witch and Ghost Rider. Therefore, the idea of the two of them together romantically sounds awesome, as they’d literally be Marvel’s most OP power couple. However, there’s also a major downside to that possibility, something that one particular storyline actually explored, which revealed why they’re actually Marvel’s most forbidden couple.

In Uncanny Avengers Annual #1 by Rick Remender and Paul Renaud, Mojo has trapped the Avengers in an illusion for his multiversal television show, thrusting them into a number of bizarre situations for the sake of ratings. Mojo has done this a number of times in the past, mostly with the X-Men, and this time, the grotesque alien producer is fixated on the ‘supernatural side’ of the Avengers.

In one situation Mojo places the Avengers in, Ghost Rider and Scarlet Witch find themselves living their lives as a happy couple. So happy, in fact, that Wanda is ecstatic to reveal to Johnny Blaze that she’s pregnant. Upon hearing that news, Blaze starts freaking out, not because he’s scared to be a father, but because the child they’d spawn would be an immensely powerful demon strong enough to destroy the world. This news is so shocking, in fact, that it snaps Ghost Rider out of Mojo’s illusion – that’s how terrifying that would be.

Fans NEED to See the ‘Overpowered’ Demon Child of Scarlet Witch & Ghost Rider

The forbidden child of Scarlet Witch and Ghost Rider is the ultimate Chekhov’s Gun in the Marvel Universe. The idea of it is so terrifying, that Ghost Rider couldn’t even fathom the possibility, which means whatever creature the two would spawn is capable of complete global destruction at minimum – and now fans need to see it.

Marvel Comics can’t just introduce the idea of something this terrifyingly powerful and then do absolutely nothing with it. Sure, it would require the overarching narratives of both Scarlet Witch and Ghost Rider to change so that they’d end up together romantically, but that’s easy enough to do. Then, once taken to its predestined conclusion, the two could be expecting a baby in no time, which would allow Marvel to finally pay off this massive tease.

Ghost Rider & Scarlet Witch’s Child Would Create the Ultimate ‘Versus’ Story

If Ghost Rider and Scarlet Witch did get together, and if Wanda did have Johnny’s baby, then that would create an absolutely epic ‘versus’ story that could prove to be the single-greatest supernatural event in Marvel Comics history. Everyone knows how protective Scarlet Witch is over her children, and Ghost Rider would be duty bound to stop this child regardless of the fact that he’s their father. That means this story would not only feature perhaps the strongest being in the Marvel Universe, but also a Ghost Rider vs Scarlet Witch event – and that’s definitely something fans need to see.

Of course, it’s also possible that this child would simply throw all reality into a swirling hellscape the second it was born, proving to be so powerful that there really isn’t a story to tell. If that’s the case – and Johnny Blaze’s reaction in Uncanny Avengers Annual means that’s a definite possibility – then it would, indeed, be better if Ghost Rider and Scarlet Witch just didn’t become romantically involved in the first place.
