Following the first season of its anime, Blue Lock became one of the biggest anime franchises in the world, and people have been waiting in anticipation for season 2’s release. After over a year of little to no news, the most that was revealed was that it would premiere in fall 2024, but even that didn’t do much to say when, exactly, people could expect it.

Blue Lock season 2 has been one of the most hotly-anticipated anime of the past year, and it finally has a confirmed release date. At a press conference with the TV network TV Asahi, it was revealed that Blue Lock season 2 will premiere on October 5 and run for 14 episodes as part of a new programming block called IMAnimation.

Anime Series by 8bit; Based on the Manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro & Yusuke Nomura

The announcement means that Blue Lock season 2’s premiere is much closer than people might have thought, and the story it’s set to tell has it poised to be just as good as season 2, if not better.
