The Umbrella Academy actor Tom Hopper addresses how the Hargreeves siblings react to not having their powers in season 4. Hopper’s character, Luther Hargreeves, and the other siblings found themselves in a new universe without their powers at the end of season 3.
While speaking with Screen Rant, Hopper provided insight into Luther’s surprising reaction to this significant change, along with how it is affecting all of the Hargreeves siblings. Check out his comments below:
He is coping pretty well, actually. But he’s not in his ideal place, let’s put it that way. I think they all miss their powers. They’re all trying to convince themselves that their lives are better without powers, but I think the problem is that the time they had with powers actually screwed them up when they tried to fit in the real world.
But one thing that Luther doesn’t miss is his gorilla body, that’s for sure.

The Umbrella Academy is based on the comic book of the same name created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. The Hargreeves — collectively known as The Umbrella Academy — were born with superpowers, and their adoptive father utilized their abilities. However, as they grew older, the siblings grew apart as they dealt with their trauma.
