Despicable Me 4 has a strong international box office debut. The sequel is already playing across movie theater screens in Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay. It will release in U.S. theaters on July 3.

According to Collider, Despicable Me 4 grossed $9.4 million in its international opening weekend, setting new records in Argentina and Australia, and earning more than previous franchise installments, including Despicable Me 2, Despicable Me 3, Minions, and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
