The actor voicing Galactus in the upcoming The Fantastic Four movie, Ralph Ineson, has recently given high praise to the script for the film in an interview with The Movie Dweeb. On May 9th, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Ineson had been cast in the highly anticipated movie which will finally introduce Marvel’s first family to the MCU. However, a recent interview offers even more insight into why Ineson accepted the offer to become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Movie Dweeb sat down with Ineson to discuss his career and particularly his upcoming monumental role as part of the MCU. Given the impact that Galactus has on the wider universe in the MCU, it’s safe to assume that his role in the upcoming film will be the start of something much more significant in the coming Phases. When asked what he thought of the script, Ineson gave high praise to the story:
It’s great, and I’m not someone who knows all the lore of Marvel, but, my son, he’s an expert, he’s 25, so he’s been schooling me for the last couple of months, always this, or this, no this person’s not connected to this, so he’s been teaching me all that and yeah, I mean I loved it when I got the part and I read the script, and I was like, that’s cool as f***, and now the more I’ve understood about the universe and the way it all fits together I’m like yeah, that’s really cool as f***.

The Fantastic Four Is Shaping Up To Be A Galactic Event
While the details about the film remain tightly kept under wraps, hints such as Ineson’s comments certainly appear promising. Ineson has been involved in several incredible projects over the years, and his track record appears to be mostly filled with projects that have depth, meaning, and are worth his time. Considering his favorable feelings towards the character of Galactus and the attached film, it seems likely that the script is in a strong position ahead of shooting the film.
In addition, due to the sheer size of Galactus as a threat in the MCU, both literally as a planet eating cosmic entity, and in terms of his role within the comics as a long-time rival to The Fantastic Four, there is potential for the character to appear in multiple projects. When pressed further about whether he would like to continue playing the role for years and years to come, Ineson stated:
Yeah, because that would mean that the film’s are successful. That’s kind of what we’re in here for, you know. So yeah, that would be an ideal outcome for everybody involved, but obviously especially for me.
All things considered, it appears that the upcoming movie is in good hands, and the foundations going into the project are strong. With the talents of Ineson and his co-stars, the project could be one of the most pivotal moments for the MCU in the current Multiverse Saga, and it is likely that the team will be around for several years to come. As long as the script and everything else comes together, The Fantastic Four will be a big moment for the franchise, and Galactus’ debut.
