The Bikeriders has a soundtrack filled with blues, rock, and R&B songs. The 2024 movie from director Jeff Nichols tells the true story of a Chicago-based motorcycle club and the lives of a few members. The Bikeriders‘ cast is led by Austin Butler as Benny, Jodie Comer as Kathy, and Tom Hardy as Johnny. Although the movie is largely narrated by Kathy as she recounts the past through interviews, it is Benny’s evolving role with the Vandals and the conflict from Kathy and Johnny pulling him in different directions that makes up the bulk of The Bikeriders‘ ending.

Since the movie is set in the late 1960s and early 1970s, The Bikeriders has sets and costumes that directly reflect that period and the midwestern motorcycle lifestyle that the characters have. This all helps make The Bikeriders‘ true story look and feel more authentic. Another element that adds to the realism comes with the dozens of era-appropriate songs that are heard. The Bikeriders‘ soundtrack has a wide range of music genres, but every song selection perfectly fits within the film.

When Every Song On The Bikeriders Soundtrack Plays In The Movie

There Are 31 Songs In The Bikeriders

“Lonely Room” by Mickey Murray: The first song heard in The Bikeriders is Mickey Murray’s “Lonely Room.” It can be heard as Kathy walks into the bar that the Vandals are always at for the first time.

“I Wanna Holler But The Town’s Too Small” by Gary U.S. Bonds: This 1960s song is the first of many from the artist to be heard in the movie. It plays over the opening credits.

“Declaration Of Independence” by Count Five: Another song in The Bikeriders can be heard in the background of another early scene, as Count Five’s song plays behind Kathy talking. This happens even though “Declaration of Indepedence” was not released at the time of the scene taking place.

“Talkin’ Bout You” by The Animals: The Animals are featured on The Bikeriders‘ soundtrack as part of the introduction to Benny, as “Talkin’ Bout You” plays briefly when Kathy first sees him.

“Come And Get It” by Johnny Soul: “Come and Get It” is heard as Kathy spends more time at the Vandals’ bar, including as she is introduced to Johnny.

“Out In The Streets” by The Shangri-Las: The first of multiple songs by The Shangri-Las is heard in The Bikeriders when Kathy gets on Benny’s bike and goes for a ride. It continues to play as she rides with him across the town and is invited for another drink.

“My Babe” by Dale Hawkins: The next entry on the soundtrack comes during the scene where Benny is involved in a high-speed chase with the cops. Dale Hawkins’ song plays as Benny speeds away from the authorities before his bike runs out of gas.

“Get Up And Get Out” by Clint Stacey: After Benny is arrested for running from the cops and multiple traffic violations, his adventure is read from the newspaper by Brucie. It is during this scene that Clitn Stacey’s trumpet-heavy song is heard.

“Chino from The Wild One” by Leith Stevens: A piece of music from Marlon Brando’s biker movie The Wild One is heard in The Bikeriders as Johnny watches part of the movie on TV.

“Raunchy” by Bill Justis and “That’s All I Need” by Magic Sam”: These two songs play in the movie as Kathy explains the origin of the Vandals.

“Mama, Mama – Talk To Your Daughter” by Magic Sam: The second song by Magic Sam heard on The Bikeriders‘ soundtrack comes during one of the Vandals’ meetings. It is during this meeting that Frank asks Johnny to let a Milwaukee chapter of the Vandals begin, which Johnny denies.

“Road Runner” by Bo Diddley: After Frank challenges Johnny to a fistfight to be the new leader of the Vandals, the fight takes place after a group event in the mud. Bo Diddley’s tune can be heard as Johnny beats Frank.

“Mannish Boy (Electric Mud Version)” by Muddy Waters: The introduction of The Kid as the Vandals ride through town is accompanied by “Mannish Boy” by Muddy Waters. The song plays as The Kid stops stealing hubcaps from cars and gets the idea that he wants to join this group.

“I Feel Free” by Cream: Cream’s song “I Feel Free” is momentarily heard in The Bikeriders as the Vandals enjoy some time on the road. It plays as they ride past cornfields.

“New Orleans” by Gary U.S. Bonds: Another Vandals picnic brings more music to the movie, with Gary U.S. Bonds’ “New Orleans” playing as the bikers hang out.

“Baby Please Don’t Go” by Them featuring Van Morrison: The next of The Bikeriders‘ songs is “Baby Please Don’t Go” by Them, as it plays when the Vandals fight another motorcycle club.

“Hush Little Baby” by Deon Jackson: When Johnny goes to the bar where Benny was attacked earlier, another song plays in the background as he and Brucie ask for the names and addresses of the people who put Benny in the hospital.

“Masters of War” by The Staple Singers: “Masters of War” plays in The Bikeriders as the Vandals burn down the bar where Benny was attacked.

“Bet You’re Surprised” by Aaron Neville: The Vandals bar once again adds a song to the movie, as “Bet You’re Surprised” plays when Kathy talks to Johnny. She asks Johnny to kick Benny out of the Vandals so that he does not hurt himself further.

“I’m Going Home” by The Sonics: Another song plays during the next Vandals picnic, with this one coming as Funny Sonny and The Kid both come to encounter the group for the first time.

“I’ll Never Learn” by The Shangri-Las: A second song by The Shangri-Las is heard on The Bikeriders‘ soundtrack at Brucie’s funeral. “I’ll Never Learn” plays as the Vandals go to the funeral and are asked to leave.

“I Don’t Know Who To Blame” by Pugsley Munion: The next piece of music to play in The Bikeriders comes when Kathy wears the red dress at the party and begins to get some unwanted attention while Benny is not around.

“Down On The Street” by The Stooges: The Stooges get a song in the movie when Cockroach comes to the Vandals’ bar to turn in his colors after being attacked.

“Treat Him Right” by Mickey Murray: This is another song heard during the later parts of The Bikeriders when Benny leaves the Vandals and Kathy behind for a year.

“I Don’t Worry Myself” by Johnny Adams: Another tune plays near The Bikeriders‘ ending as the Vandals are transformed into a criminal group under The Kid’s leadership.

“Vandalize” by Ben Nichols: The final scene in The Bikeriders includes an original song by Ben Nichols made for the movie.

“Bikeriders” by Lucero: Viewers hear a song specifically about the movie during the early parts of The Bikeriders‘ credits. The lyrics are directly about Kathy and Benny, with Ben Nichols and Lucero writing the song years before the movie was even in development, and the song plays as the real pictures that inspired the movie are shown.

“Come Softly To Me” by The Fleetwoods: The very end of the film’s credits include The Fleetwoods’ song “Come Softly To Me,” adding one more tune to the movie’s soundtrack.
