This stunning Star Wars: The Bad Batch-inspired art provides a glimpse of Omega’s future as a pilot for the Rebel Alliance. In The Bad Batch’s emotional season 3 finale, Omega and Hunter reunited on screen one last time in an epilogue that jumped a few years into the future. Hunter and the other members of Clone Force 99 had lived a well-deserved and peaceful life on Pabu, but Omega wasn’t done with the galaxy just yet. Instead, she flew off to become a pilot for the Rebellion, continuing her and her brothers’ fight against the Empire.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch’s Full Timeline Explained

Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place during a critical point of the Star Wars timeline, with each season providing new insights on a famous era.

Artist @bewareg_ posted a gorgeous piece of Star Wars art on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting Omega’s new role as a pilot during the Age of Rebellion. Stood in front of an impactful Rebel Alliance symbol, Omega is wearing that trademark orange pilot jumpsuit, her hair in the same ponytail as it was in The Bad Batch finale’s epilogue. Omega has always been fiercely determined to help the galaxy and do the right thing, so her becoming a pilot in the fight against the Empire was a fitting choice for her character. The artist captured Omega’s tenacity perfectly in this illustration.

Omega

A mysterious mutant clone created by the Kaminoans, Omega longed to get away from Kamino and explore the galaxy. She was rescued from the Empire by Clone Force 99, and soon became the heart of the team. The Empire still view Omega as valuable, though, and all signs indicate her story could well end in tragedy.

Will The Bad Batch’s Omega Appear In Star Wars Again?

Though it would certainly be interesting to see Omega as a pilot for the Rebellion, Star Wars should continue to move away from that well-known and arguably over-examined era of the timeline in favor of something new. That doesn’t mean there isn’t an opportunity for Omega to return, however – she could even appear in live-action. In Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 1, Omega meets a young Hera Syndulla, a fellow flying enthusiast who went on to become one of the greatest pilots in the galaxy and a General in the Rebel Alliance, as originally depicted in Star Wars Rebels.

All Upcoming Star Wars Titles Omega (& The Bad Batch) Could Appear In Next

The Bad Batch left Omega’s future unclear, meaning her story isn’t finished yet—so what other Star Wars titles could Omega & the Batch appear in next?

Hera Syndulla recently made her live-action debut in Ahsoka. During the New Republic era, Hera is still a General, and now, with the fight against Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Imperial Remnant looming over the galaxy, Hera will need all the help she can get. That help could, potentially, be a live-action Omega.

This would be a great way for Star Wars to show audiences what became of her character and how much she’s grown. Omega has had to watch her brothers fight even after a war just for her to earn some peace, and now, her joining the fight is a perfect reflection of her helping them to have their own long-lasting peace. Star Wars: The Bad Batch made Omega such an important part of the franchise’s lore – it would be a shame to never see her again.
