Sausage Party: Foodtopia is coming to Amazon Prime Video, and what’s been revealed so far about the upcoming animated Seth Rogen project already looks tantalizing. Released in 2016, Sausage Party concerns an anthropomorphic sausage named Frank (Seth Rogen) who discovers what happens to food after they are purchased at the supermarket, and leads his friends in an exodus to safety. Made to be intentionally shocking and raunchy, Sausage Party aimed to parody the Disney formula, but for an extremely adult audience.

Despite critical panning across the board, Sausage Party managed to become a bona fide box office smash, and grossed nearly $150 million against a considerably smaller budget (via Box Office Mojo). This made speculation regarding a Sausage Party 2 quite high, but the sequel never materialized. However, a TV spinoff was announced in 2022 that continues the story in an expanded format. Details began leaking out across the years, and Sausage Party: Foodtopia promises to be just as raunchy and debaucherous as its predecessor.
