What Happened In Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Episode #10?

Produced by Yostar Pictures; Directed by Kazuki Yokouchi

In Go! Go! Loser Ranger! episode #10, “It’s Showtime for Blue Keeper!”, XX was forced to bring D and Blue Keeper to Peltrola, who had now taken on a new strategy of multiplying himself dozens of times over to overwhelm the Rangers with pure numbers. As Blue Keeper fought Peltrola’s clones, XX tried to bring D into Peltrola’s good graces, and while he initially went along with it, albeit reluctantly, D ended up stabbing one of Peltrola’s clones, an act that even D was surprised by.

D was knocked unconscious by Blue Keeper before he could try to explain himself, during which time he had a dream where he seemingly succeeded in taking over the world. It was really Peltrola and the boss monsters who took over the world, though, and under Peltrola’s rule, all humans were treated as disposable trash, even the friends D had made in the Ranger Force. An apparition of Sakurama called D out for thinking that his ambitions could have any other outcome, especially with the boss monsters still around, and D then awoke feeling unsure of what he should do.

While that was happening, Peltrola’s clones escaped into the testing area, and most of them ended up fighting the Junior First Rank Rangers of the battalions, all of whom could put up a fight with their Divine Artifacts. One of the clones escaped the testing area, and the Colorless cadets put aside their differences to stop the clone from escaping to the outside world. To Peltrola’s surprise and frustration, D was also among their numbers, as D had decided he would kill anyone whose ideals got in the way of his own, even if they were a boss monster.

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Episode #10 Reveals D’s True Feelings

The Main Character Is Not as Evil as He Thinks

D in episode 10

The biggest takeaway from Go! Go! Loser Ranger! episode #10 is what it reveals about D’s true feelings about humanity. Episode #10 confirms that he at least sees his teammates as genuine friends, and unlike the boss monsters who want to destroy everything, D’s vision of world domination is one where humans and monsters live together, just with the monsters in charge of everything. That reveal both shows the difference between D and Peltrola and perfectly develops D into a more nuanced character than how he started as, and watching that further develop will be great to see.

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Episode #10 Excellently Sets Up Season 1’s Climax

Continuing with the notable uptick in quality from episode #9, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is another episode that succeeds on all fronts. As with the previous episode, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! episode #10 had plenty of great art and animation from start to finish, making it another episode with visuals that more than lived up to the quality of the story being told. The Go! Go! Loser Ranger! anime has had trouble with its animation in the past, so it’s great to see things improving.

Regarding the story, the writing in episode #10 is also plenty deserving of praise. Not only do both Peltrola and the upper echelon of the Ranger Force fully live up to their respective reputations of power, but D’s development into someone who wants more than simple world domination was great to see, and it serves to make the various conflicts he’s involved in all the more interesting. There were a lot of great parts to Go! Go! Loser Ranger! episode #10, and it ultimately paves the way for what’s sure to be a thrilling climax.

Be sure to watch Go! Go! Loser Ranger! episode #11 when it releases on Sunday, June 23.
