Episode 6 of Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc saw Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke undergoing training from the Stone Hashira, which involved sitting under waterfalls and moving enormous boulders. Genya, who happened to have learned from the Stone Hashira, teaches Tanjiro a technique known as Repetitive Motion, which Tanjiro is able to employ to succeed at his training.

Like last episode, this episode is largely drawn from the manga, although it does feature some anime-original sequences that primarily enhanced the comedic elements of the episode. Given that it’s now revealed that Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc will consist of 8 episodes, this begins to feel like the last bit of calm before the storm, so it’s best to savor these good times while they’re here. The final confrontation will arrive soon, so this training will hopefully pay off for the Demon Slayers. Here’s how to tune in and find out what happens next in Demon Slayer: Hashira Training episode 7.

What Happened in Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #6?

Tanjiro is Mastering A New Technique

Episode 6 of Hashira Training opened with Tanjiro and Zenitsu joining the Stone Hashira’s training, with Inosuke already there and training when they arrive. They find Inosuke and others being forced to meditate under a freezing waterfall, a task which completely overwhelms Zenitsu and which even Tanjiro struggles with. Next, they’re tasked with lifting a heavy bundle of logs, and then finally asked to move a massive boulder over 350 feet. Tanjiro can’t even get the boulder to budge, but Genya comes along to thank Tanjiro for his help with his brother last week.

Genya explains a technique known as “Repetitive Motion” to Tanjiro, something distinct from the various breathing styles. While it takes him a while to master this technique, Tanjiro is eventually able to push the boulder, and using it, complete the Stone Hashira’s difficult training, thus finishing his training with each Hashira.

Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #7 Continues to Follow The Stone Hashira

Getting to Know the Strongest Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer: Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira.

Episode 7 is entitled “Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima,” suggesting that the episode will focus more on the Stone Hashira himself now that Tanjiro has completed the training. Based on the manga, fans can expect to finally get to know some about Gyomei Himejima, the Hashira who’s received the least screen time so far. Himejima will reveal his tragic past to Tanjiro, explaining why he wasn’t able to trust Tanjiro and Nezuko at their first meeting.

There may also be a bit of sparring between the various Hashira, as they attempt to push their own skills to the limit and unlock their Demon Slayer Marks. Giyu Tomioka spars with Sanemi Shinazugawa in the manga, prompting a bit of a confrontation when Tanjiro shows up to Tomioka’s house and finds the Wind Hashira is there. The episode is said to have an extended runtime of 30 minutes, which suggests that it may also feature a fair amount of anime-original content that’s impossible to predict.

Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #6 Focused on Training Above All

Episode 6 Featured Little of Himejima, but a Lot of Training

Demon Slayer: Tanjiro and Zenitsu meditate under a waterfall

Perhaps the best thing about episode 6 of the Hashira Training Arc is seeing Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro reunited once again. The episode has some comedic moments with the classic trio, and in many ways felt like a season 1 episode with the three together. That kind of camaraderie is welcome at this stage of the story, because again, the dark clouds are gathering on the horizon, and this peace can’t last much longer. Muzan’s spying has located a huge number of the Demon Slayers, and while Nezuko remains off his radar, he may nearly be ready to make his move.

It was a bit disappointing how little the Stone Hashira had to do in this episode, with Tanjiro and the others largely approaching his training on their own, without much guidance. Fortunately, he looks to be getting more attention in the next episode. Fans eager to learn about the strongest of the Hashira need only wait a little longer, as Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc continues into its penultimate episode.
