Perfect Match season 2 has had a quick run on Netflix, and with the finale rapidly approaching, here are some predictions about what’s to come after the first nine episodes of the season. While Perfect Match season 2 was called into question by viewers who watched the first season of the series, many were curious about what a second season of the show would look like. Perfect Match season 1 was a chaotic look at Netflix’s stable of single reality TV stars as they competed and paired off, but didn’t wind up sticking together afterward.

While many were interested in Perfect Match season 1, the competition was a lot different than it’s been on season 2. Throughout the first season, stars like Too Hot To Handle’s Francesca Farago and Chloe Veitch matched up with others like The Mole’s Dom Gabriel and Love Is Blind’s Shayne Jansen. The couples played through compatibility challenges, but the majority of Perfect Match season 1 wound up being about interpersonal drama between the stars rather than romance.

After a difficult first season, viewers weren’t overly excited about Perfect Match season 2. The show felt lost in translation throughout the first season, which pushed viewers away from another installment. While Perfect Match season 1 wasn’t the success the platform hoped for, especially with the couples who were matched up at the end of the show not winding up together, things were revamped and revisited for the second season.

Once the cast of Perfect Match season 2 was revealed, there was some positive buzz surrounding the new season. Knowing the game itself had been revamped and the cast was excited to be participating in the competitive reality TV show, the stage was set for the second season to flourish. With stars like Too Hot To Handle’s Harry Jowsey, Love Is Blind’s Micah Lussier, and Dated And Related’s Alara Taneri joining in for the second iteration of the series, it felt certain it would be an exciting turnout.

With nearly the whole season having been released already, the drama of Perfect Match season 2 has been unmatched. With genuine relationships forming between cast members like The Trust’s Tolu Ekundare and Dated And Related’s Chris Hahn while drama has been brewing between other cast members, like Harry and his fellow Too Hot To Handle alumni Melinda Berry. With a fun mix of drama and romance, Perfect Match season 2 has been a great sophomore effort, but the finale episode could be the season’s best.

Jessica Vestal Will Forgive Harry Jowsey

She’s Not Happy With His Actions

Jessica and Harry met within the first few episodes of Perfect Match season 2, after Harry had been coupled up with Too Hot To Handle’s Elys Hutchinson. Harry’s match with Elys was strong early on in the season, but when he met Jessica, things changed tremendously. Harry, who has been known as the bad boy of the Netflix reality TV world for years, shared on the series that he feels he’s changed his ways. Rather than philandering around from relationship to relationship, Harry explained he hoped to settle down.

While Harry seems genuine, it didn’t really register with Perfect Match viewers until he met Jessica. The pair connected quickly, and while Harry shared he wanted to be someone who deserved to be with her and care for her 10-year-old daughter, Autumn, after a stretch of time together, Harry’s actions didn’t reflect his words. When the guys were brought to a remote location and visited by the women who hadn’t been coupled up in the villa, Harry was too flirty with some of the women, including Melinda. He felt guilty over what he’d done, and returned home inconsolable.

Although Jessica and Harry seemed to hash things out, she hadn’t found it in herself to forgive him after learning the details of what had happened with Melinda. While the truth isn’t entirely clear, Harry alleges he was flirty with his fellow THTH alum, while Melinda claims Harry kissed her during the outing. It seems like Jessica is on her way to forgiving Harry, despite being irritated with his actions and not knowing if she can fully trust him moving forward.

Bryton Constantin & Elys Hutchinson’s Match Will Ruffle Some Feathers

The Pair Matched Behind Micah’s Back

While Elys has been in the villa since the beginning of Perfect Match season 2, her relationships have shifted throughout the season. Elys was first matched with Harry, but after they split, she wound up bouncing between Chris, then Surviving Paradise‘s Justin Assada. While Elys and Justin seemed to be a great pair, when Bryton Constantin came back into the house after being eliminated at the beginning of the season, he piqued her interest. Though Elys knew that he’d been talking to Micah after a tough time, Elys and Bryton chose to couple up.

While Bryton and Elys’ match seems fueled on lust, the pair have been attracted to each other openly from the beginning. Bryton’s attitude surrounding Perfect Match is an odd mix of interest in pairing up with someone he’s formed a bond with, and wanting to win on a competitive level. As Elys and Bryton continue in the competition, their match will likely ruffle a few feathers, as Micah was interested in Bryton as well and Justin was hoping to end the competition with Elys by his side.

Micah Lussier Will Give Izzy Zapata A Chance

He’s Been Interested In Her From The Start

In the earliest moments of the season, Micah and her fellow Love Is Blind alumni Izzy Zapata seemed like they could hit it off. Izzy shared with Micah that he was interested in getting to know her, having seen her on Love Is Blind and experiencing something similar during his time on the show. Both Izzy and Micah were left at the altar during their seasons of the series, with their Love Is Blind partners offering to try their relationships off-camera before ending things permanently. Izzy felt he knew Micah before meeting her, which was initially off-putting.

Though Izzy left the Perfect Match season 2 villa after just a few days, he returned during one of the most recent episodes. Letting Micah know he was interested in her and apologizing for potentially freaking her out during their first interaction, the pair seemed to find some common ground. Finding themselves more friendly, after Micah’s relationship with Kaz Bishop crashed and burned, she wound up coupling up with Izzy. Both said they were interested in seeing where things went between them, and it seems like she could give him a chance in the upcoming finale.

Kaz Bishop & Christine Obanor Will Cross The Line

The Couple Has Already Been Getting Physical

Kaz, who was first featured on Dated And Related along with his twin brother Kieran Bishop, spent the majority of Perfect Match season 2 paired up with Micah. While the couple were strong in compatibility challenges, their communication was tough outside of a competitive setting. Though the pair were able to talk each other through challenges, their skills weren’t able to translate to the rest of their relationship. Consistently looking to pursue other connections outside of what he had with Micah, her insecurities were too much for Kaz to handle.

Though Micah was looking for something more stable, she stuck with Kaz thinking their relationship would get stronger. When Too Hot To Handle’s Christine Obanor came onto Kaz, he tried to resist, but after Micah’s behavior was too much for him to deal with. Kaz chose to match up with Christine after fighting with Micah, moving onto a new relationship on Perfect Match. In the finale, it seems likely that Kaz and Christine’s relationship with cross the line, getting even more physical than its already been.

Stevan Ditter & Alara Taneri Will Hit A Roadblock

They Haven’t Had Many Hurdles

After matching up after the first days of the season, Alara and Too Hot To Handle‘s Stevan Ditter have been one of the strongest couples on Perfect Match season 2. The pair have grown stronger despite having more obstacles put in their path. Stevan, who was originally matched up with The Circle‘s Xanthi Perdikomatis, met Alara on a date he was set up on in the Boardroom. The pair connected quickly, and matched up after she tested the waters with Perfect Match season 1 winner Dom. Alara was interested in Dom first, but ultimately chose Stevan.

While the couple have been strong throughout the season, they’ve had moments where they were tested, as well. After successfully winning compatibility challenges, the pair were both put to the test when they had to go on dates in the same day. Stevan and Alara both enjoyed their time out of the villa, but ultimately wanted each other more than their potential new matches. While things have gone smoothly, it’s possible that Stevan and Alara will hit a roadblock during the season finale.

3

Chris Hahn & Tolú Ekundare Will Deepen Their Relationship

They Recently Went Through A Rough Patch

Chis and Tolu weren’t a couple that Perfect Match viewers saw coming, but the surprise of their romance has been interesting to watch. While Chris was originally matched with Too Hot To Handle’s Dominique Dafoe, he was interested in Tolu from the beginning of their time in the villa together. Establishing a friendship first, the pair gravitated toward each other through other matches, and eventually chose to pair up. Uncertain about their connection, the pair realized their chemistry was strong after beginning their relationship as friends.

While Chris and Tolu have had a few moments of strife during Perfect Match season 2, their relationship has come out stronger each time they’ve faced adversity. Matching up once again during the end of the most recent episode, Chris and Tolu have established that their feelings for one another are genuine. It seems likely that their relationship will deepen during Perfect Match’s season finale.

The Singles In The Villa Will Call Out Harry For His Actions

They’ll Want More Information Before The Final Vote

The end of Perfect Match brings the entirety of the cast back for a vote, asking the uncoupled singles to vote for who they think is the perfect match. The winners of the competition don’t get a cash prize, but instead receive an all-expenses paid vacation anywhere in the world, in order to deepen their relationship and connect off camera. While the singles who have been in the villa already may not have had the most positive experiences with some of the couples, their judgment will be needed during the finale.

With the singles voting for who they feel the winners of Perfect Match will be, the voting process will be interesting to watch. It’s probable that the singles will try to get answers for some of the most burning questions of the competition throughout the Perfect Match finale, including asking about Harry’s actions throughout the season. The singles will hold Harry accountable for his actions, and make the final decision.

1

Stevan & Alara Will Win Perfect Match Season 2

They Seem Like The Obvious Choice

With Stevan and Alara one of the most successful couples of the season, it seems likely that they’ll be crowned the winners of Perfect Match season 2. After the questioning from the singles in the villa and the vote, Stevan and Alara will be able to defend their relationship and share that they’re happier together than they’ve been with anyone else on the series. Although there are other options for winning couples on Perfect Match season 2, Stevan and Alara feel like the obvious choice.

While it’s unclear if Stevan and Alara are together after the show, it seems probable that their connection has lasted throughout the wait between filming and the show airing. Their connection seemed sweet, and while they were both known to be flighty on their original shows, they’ve built a sweet foundation on Perfect Match. If Stevan and Alara win, the prize will go to a couple who’s truly grown.
