Alfie Solomons actor Tom Hardy addresses whether he will return in the Peaky Blinders movie. Created by Steven Knight, the hit crime drama follows crime boss Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his eponymous gang in early 20th century England. After 6 popular seasons, a Peaky Blinders movie is now confirmed to be moving forward, with filming expected to begin this September and Murphy reprising his role.

During a recent interview with Sky News, Hardy is asked whether he will be reprising his role as Alfie in the Peaky Blinders movie. While nothing is yet set in stone, the actor is clearly interested in making an appearance. Check out Hardy’s comment below:

“100%. Alfie will definitely make an appearance, but I don’t know when… and I don’t even know if he will, that’s just me punting.”

Who Else Could Return In The Peaky Blinders Movie?

There Are Some Obvious Candidates

So far, the only Peaky Blinders cast member confirmed to be returning for the upcoming film is Murphy as Tommy. With Tommy returning, however, it’s very likely that audiences can expect some other familiar faces to be returning as well. As far as who is eligible for a return, anyone who is alive by the time Peaky Blinders season 6 ends is probably fair game.

One of the most obvious characters who seems poised to return is Paul Anderson’s Arthur Shelby, Tommy’s brother and right-hand man. Natasha O’Keeffe would also make for a logical return as Lizzie Shelby given her prominent role in Peaky Blinders season 6. Other characters who feel ripe for further exploration include Duke Shelby (Conrad Khan), Charlie Strong (Ned Dennehy), and Johnny Dogs (Packy Lee).

10 Characters Who Must Return In Cillian Murphy’s Peaky Blinders Movie

With Cillian Murphy officially reprising his role as Tommy Shelby in the Peaky Blinders movie, there are several other characters who must return.

One character who would certainly be a welcome addition to the Peaky Blinders movie is Anya Taylor-Joy’s Gina Gray. Gray could be a crucial figure to setting up the announced Peaky Blinders Boston spinoff, but Taylor-Joy is now an in-demand movie star, which could make her return a challenge to work out in terms of scheduling. It’s unclear whether Hardy will be among the actors returning for the Peaky Blinders movie, but he definitely seems keen on returning as Alfie at least one more time.
