Delicious in Dungeon episode #23 finally explains Senshi’s backstory, and it’s far bigger and far darker than anyone could have expected.

Dungeon Meshi Was Bound to Get a Second Season After Its Success

Delicious In Dungeon is a surprising success for the huge platform, and demonstrates that Netflix-exclusive anime can be great. With disappointments like Seven Deadly Sins and Record of Ragnarok sullying the company’s reputation when it came to the medium, many were worried that any anime produced by them was a death sentence. The adaptation of the beloved manga by Ryoko Kui is proving this stereotype wrong and will pave the way for a better reception of anime such as Shonen Jump’s Sakamoto Days and The One Piece remake.

Although a release date or information about the second season is still unknown, fans of the series can rest easy knowing that Delicious In Dungeon will be returning for a second season and will hit Netflix sooner rather than later.
