What To Know About Fight Night

It’s Based On Real Events

The Peacock show is based on the podcast of the same name, unfurling a night that takes place on the night that Ali faced Jerry Quarry. That itself happened after he was banned from boxing for refusing to enter the military draft. On this night, however, hundreds of guests were robbed at an afterparty. It became one of the largest armed robberies the country has ever seen. Set in Atlanta, the story will focus on the cop and the hustler on opposite ends of it all.

In addition to Hart, Cheadle, Henson, and Jackson and Henson’s Empire co-star Terrence Howard, the cast of Fight Night includes The Maze Runner and Saved by the Bell alum Dexter Darden as the legendary Muhammad Ali. Swarm‘s Chloe Bailey, Snowfall‘s Melvin Gregg Black Lightning‘s Clifton Powell, and 9-1-1 alum Rockmund Dunbar also star as part of a large ensemble.
