The 25th Anniversary of One Piece is right around the corner and fashion brand Uniqlo has decided to team up with One Piece to release a special clothing collection. This clothing collection will celebrate One Piece’s first appearance on television in October 1999. It features eight t-shirt designs for men and five for kids.

As revealed in a post from One Piece’s official X Account, the t-shirt designs will be based on story arcs from One Piece starting with the “East Blue” arc and ending with the current “Egghead” arc. One Piece Film: Red will also be featured in the collaboration with t-shirt designs based around Uta and Shanks.

This collaboration is similar to when Uniqlo released a collection of Naruto clothes back in March and features similar styles to that partnership. This collection is one of many celebrations planned for the 25th anniversary as new One Piece dub content is set to be released on Crunchyroll along with the upcoming takeover of the Sphere in Las Vegas.

Uniqlo One Piece Recreates Fan Favorite Moments From the Series

The designs capture key story moments and themes from some of One Piece’s best arcs, like when Luffy achieved Gear 5 or when Luffy and Law fought against Doflamingo. Uniqlo described the new special collection: “The TV anime ‘ONE PIECE‘ is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The adventures of the main character, Monkey D. Luffy, are depicted on T-shirts. This commemorative collection features designs from their determined departure in the ‘East Blue Arc’ to the latest ‘Egghead Arc.’ In addition, characters that are very popular among children are now available on T-shirts.”

One Piece & Fashion Go Better Together Than Fans Might Initially ThinkOnePieceFashion

As evidenced by One Piece’s best outfits, fashion is a staple of the series. In the One Piece movies, the Straw Hat Pirates are given new outfits which are often flashy and appealing. These outfits fit the theme of the movie they are depicted in and each outfit is specific to the character’s personality.

One Piece has been featured in many collaborations in the past and recently they did a sneaker collection with popular brand Puma. The sneaker collection included four character-themed sneakers based on Luffy, Shanks, Blackbeard, and Buggy. These partnerships allow for fans to get into the fashion of their favorite series with such a wide collection of One Piece merchandise.

The One Piece collection is set to be released online and in-store on July 22 just before One Piece Day 2024 which is set to be August 10 and 11 at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba, Japan.

One Piece

Created by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is a multimedia franchise that began as a manga series and follows the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates as led by Monkey D. Luffy. Luffy, an enthusiastic pirate with a thirst for adventure, is afflicted by a mysterious curse that gives him various powers he uses to protect himself and his friends. The manga eventually gave way to the anime series, with the two being some of history’s longest-running anime and manga series. Along with over fifty video games made over the years, the series entered the live-action world with Netflix’s 2023 adaptation.
