Suits best replacement show on Netflix is officially getting a revival, and the plan sounds so much better than what Suits LA is doing. During the summer of 2023, USA Network’s legal drama Suits dominated streaming four years after it officially wrapped its original run. Following the people at the famed Pearson, Hardman firm in New York, the show captured the public’s attention, racking in record-viewing numbers for Netflix. Considering the increased attention on the show, talks about a revival started. Despite creator Aaron Korsh’s initial skepticism, a new expansion project was born with Suits LA.
Instead of acquisitions and mergers in New York, Suit: LA‘s lawyers will focus on legal matters in the entertainment industry. Stephen Amell and Josh McDermitt will play the show’s lead roles, Ted Black and Stuart Lane, respectively. When the show kickstarts, their Los Angeles firm is in the middle of a crisis, causing them to scramble for solutions. With Korsh behind it, there’s confidence that Suits LA will be able to recapture the magic of its original series. That being said, it’s still less exciting compared to another USA Network series on Netflix that just got an official revival confirmation.

The White Collar Revival Will Feature The Show’s Core Cast
Neal, Peter, And Elizabeth Will All Return For The White Collar Revival
Created by Jeff Eastin, White Collar premiered several years before Korsh’s show. Starring Matt Bomer as a con artist and thief, Neal Caffrey and Tim DeKay as FBI agent Peter Burke, the pair was forced to work together as part of a deal that would benefit both of them. Neal became a criminal consultant for the feds, allowing him to serve the remainder of his sentence outside, but with a tracking ankle bracelet on. As confirmed, a White Collar revival is officially happening, and what’s better is that Bomer, DeKay, and Tiffany Thiessen, who played Elizabeth Burke, will all return.
This is so much more satisfying than Suits LA introducing a new ensemble who just exists in the same reality as the beloved characters of Suits. Granted that there will be references to Harvey Specter and the rest of the cast, perhaps they might even appear, but their involvement will likely be very minimal. They may not even make a cameo in the first season just to ensure that Suits LA is established on its own before it recruits some familiar faces from the bigger franchise. The White Collar revival, however, will feature its core cast from the get-go.
White Collar Revival Is A Continuation Of The Original Show (Suits LA Isn’t)
The Upcoming White Collar Show Will Answer Lingering Questions From The Original Series
Considering all the time that has passed since the White Collar finale, there will likely be a time jump when Peter and Neal reunite on the small screen. Since the new endeavor will feature the same players, it will be able to be a proper continuation of its predecessor, which is confirmed by the promise that it will answer lingering questions from the past. Since Neal faked his death in the White Collar finale, it can reveal how exactly that played out. Beyond that, their re-assembly may have something to do with Mozzie’s death, as they honor Willie Garson’s legacy.
Meanwhile, Suits LA, like its cast, is an entirely new story. Chances are that there won’t be any proper updates about what happened to Jessica Pearson in Chicago or Louis Litt and the firm in New York after Suits. There may be some references to them, as well as Harvey and Mike’s clinic in Seattle, but the core of its arc will be Black and Lane as they navigate the Hollywood legal system.
