The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 now has an official release date. The show is a spinoff from The Walking Dead which premiered after the flagship zombie apocalypse show ended its run after 11 seasons in 2022. Season 1 followed the returning character Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) washing up on the shores of France with no memory of how he got there. The upcoming Daryl Dixon season 2, subtitled The Book of Carol, was renewed in July 2023 and is set to feature Melissa McBride returning as Daryl’s longtime companion and potential love interest Carol.

A post from the official The Walking Dead X account shared the official release date for Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. Check it out below:

The post, which features an image of a remote castle being besieged by walkers, reveals that the show will return to AMC on September 29, 2024. The account also shared the hashtag “TWDCaryl,” utilizing the Walking Dead fandom’s popular portmanteau for a romantic pairing between Daryl and Carol, the latter of whom was supposed to play a larger part in season 1 before backing out amid pre-production logistics issues.
