Glen Powell becomes the new Batman of James Gunn’s DC Universe in stunning art. Powell is one of Hollywood’s rising stars, which has led the actor to become a popular candidate among fans for major superhero roles. Recently, Powell revealed the one DC hero he would consider playing — Batman — despite not having much interest in joining the MCU or playing other heroes.

On Instagram, artist @clements.ink made Powell’s DC dreams come true, imagining what the actor would look like as the DCU’s Batman.

Powell looks perfect in the Batman suit, which features a prominent cape and a modern logo, a design that would look exciting for the hero in the DCU’s The Brave and The Bold Batman reboot. As there is still no script ready for the movie, Powell and other actors will have to wait a little longer to audition to play Batman in the film and the rest of the DCU’s slate of movies and series.

The Actor Is Perfect For Bruce Wayne

After Ben Affleck played a hardened Batman in the DCEU, the new DC Universe should be going for a younger version of the character. Previously, Gunn commented that the new Batman would be around a couple of years older than Superman, and Clark Kent actor David Corenswet is 30, then the 35-year-old Powell would be in the correct range. Powell would also be believable for The Brave and the Bold‘s story.

The DCU’s Batman movie will be the first time that one of the Robins from DC Comics appears in live-action. Damian Wayne, Bruce’s biological son, will be one of the main characters in The Brave and the Bold. The film will explore the relationship between the two, with Bruce learning that he has a son and bonding with him. At 35, Powell would fit the father-son story the DCU film will tell, and the actor has shown in multiple roles that he can deliver emotional moments that will no doubt be part of the DC movie.

Besides playing the father to a young Damian, Powell would excel at making both of Batman’s personas shine and be different from each other. Top Gun: Maverick was a fantastic display of how well Powell can bring Bruce Wayne’s playboy persona —which has been mostly missing from recent Batman movie appearances — to the DCU in a seamless transition from the comics. Glen Powell‘s roles in films like Devotion, The Expendables 3, and Hidden Figures have shown that he could also be great as the determined and intense action hero that is Batman.
