Marvel has announced a new Spider-Man apparel collaboration with reggaetón artist Yandel and Lust. The collection provides new streetwear options for comic and music fans to showcase their fandom with their wardrobe. Thus far, the collection has only been launched in Mexico.

On Marvel, a glimpse of the apparel has been revealed, showing a few of the tees that will be available. The Spider-Man collection expands on other Marvel-inspired apparel within Lust’s current offerings. Thus far, fans have had two different ways to get pieces from the Spider-Man collection.

In Mexico City, the collection was available for concert attendees in April. At the start of May, there were also purchasing opportunities for attendees of Comic Con Experience.

Yandel’s Spider-Man Lust Collection Blends Music & Comic World

Four New Tees Have Been Added to Lust’s Marvel Offerings

The Spider-Man collection from Lust and Yandel features four different tees. Half of them feature Yandel’s “Y” logo, alongside web-slinging graphics that show Spider-Man’s upper body and one that highlights the Marvel hero’s mask across the logo. Another features a spider emblem on a darker background, while the last features a facial split with half of Spider-Man’s mask and half of Yandel’s face mirroring each other. Ironically, the collection does not feature Miles Morales even though both he and Yandel are Puerto Rican. Each tee features the songwriter’s name on the back, framed by webbing.

Lust has a few other Marvel-inspired offerings, including tees with several of the Avengers, as well as one featuring Doctor Doom. The current line-up starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor. Thus far, Doctor Doom is the only villain represented by the clothing brand. Both collections are available for purchase online in Mexico, since that is where the company is based. Lust offers pieces from several well-known brands, including Adidas, Nike, Jordan, and Vans among others. Its partnership with Marvel and Yandel is one of the company’s most recent collaborations.

Spider-Man Meets Latin Music with Spider-Verse & Yandel Apparel

Yandel is a songwriter, producer, and vocalist best known for his work in reggaetón, both solo and as a duo in his former partnership with Wisin. Thus far, his involvement with Marvel has been limited to this collection, though it would be interesting to see him included on a soundtrack for a Spider-Verse related project. Latin artists Prince Royce, Ozuna, and Becky G have all featured on songs for the soundtracks of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. With an increase of Latin influence on Spider-Man related stories, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a Yandel and Marvel partnership that extends past streetwear and apparel collections such as this one with Lust.
