A cosplayer on Reddit, u/GraysonFin, has created an astonishing tribute to this popular character, representing Jotaro’s Part 3 look perfectly. This was Jotaro’s introduction to the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and his impressive and mighty character design definitely did not disappoint. It doesn’t hurt that Jotaro is one of the series’ strongest characters, thanks to Star Platinum’s impressive power.

The cosplayer is clothed in Jotaro’s signature outfit: a green t-shirt, black pants, and a red belt with gold and green triangular patterns across it. They are wearing a black jacket with gold buttons and trim, as well the most important and distinctive part of Jotaro’s look: his iconic black hat with a gold hand emblem on the front.

Other precise details of the cosplay that take it to new levels of anime accuracy and impressiveness are the gold chain detail running from the neck of the jacket to the belt, Jotaro’s short hairstyle, and the comic book makeup that consists of lines drawn with eyeliner to emulate the series’ characteristic art style. u/GraysonFin stands in a menacing pose reminiscent of how Jotaro typically stands in the anime, with one arm outstretched pointing into the distance and one tipping the brim of the hat to cover one eye mysteriously. In the second image, they hold a cigarette in their mouth.

Jotaro smokes regardless of his fairly young age, true to his “delinquent” persona (a common trope in Japanese media of the time when JoJo‘s Part 3 was published) so this addition of a cigarette to the cosplay proves the creator’s deep knowledge of his character and the franchise as a whole. The purple background in the second photo seems to hint at the color of Jotaro’s well-known Stand, Star Platinum. Star Platinum steals the show in Part Three of the series with his quotable “ora ora” punching attacks and stoic presence, looming behind Jotaro and making the already terrifying teen even more menacing.

With physical strength, one of the coolest and most memorable Stands ever, and a bold, humorously standoffish personality, his status as one of anime’s best heroes makes sense. u/GraysonFin has represented the iconic character well.
