WARNING: Contains Potential Spoilers for Batman: The Brave and the Bold #13!

Thanks to Booster Gold messing up the time stream (again), DC’s Dinosaur Justice League, the Jurassic League, returns to comics with Batman as an Allosaurus, Superman as a Brachiosaurus, and Wonder Woman as a Triceratops. Along with their triumphant return, these prehistoric heroes debut new armored costumes that would make even their human counterparts jealous.

Mark Russell, Jon Mikel, and Mike Spicer’s Booster Gold/Jurassic League crossover story, Time Jerks, debuts as one of the five can’t-miss tales in Batman: The Brave and the Bold #13. In this story, the time-traveling hero Booster Gold encounters Batsaur, Supersaur, and Wonderdon—the dinosaur versions of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

These primordial heroes first appeared in 2022’s The Jurassic League #1, featuring primitive costume designs that offered a unique twist on the Trinity’s iconic looks. Now, their costumes have undergone a major overhaul that Jurassic League fans won’t want to miss.

The Jurassic League Gets New Armored Costume Redesigns That Would Make Even Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman Jealous

Batman The Brave and the Bold 13 Open to Order (Mattina)

Time Jerks sees Batsaur, Supersaur, and Wonderdon upgrade from their animal hide costumes featured in The Jurassic League to heavy-armored suits. These new costumes closely resemble those of their human counterparts, featuring modern designs and shedding the prehistoric aesthetic of their previous outfits. Not only are these new suits heavily armored, but they also have a futuristic appeal, fitting the setting of 2471 C.E. This futuristic aspect is especially noticeable in Wonderdon’s ensemble, where she sports a shield that appears to be a will-activated force field.

Some fans might be wondering how these dinosaur heroes could be alive in 2471 C.E. when they’re supposed to be prehistoric creatures. The answer is simple: Booster Gold. During a time-traveling adventure set 65 million years ago, Booster gets distracted while loading his “Time Travel Jamz” and accidentally hits an asteroid, causing it to veer off course. This asteroid happens to be the one that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs on Earth. Without the mass extinction, Booster inadvertently changes the timeline, allowing the dinosaurs and the Jurassic League to survive into 2471, complete with new costumes.

A New Time Line and New Costumes Mean New Adventures For Booster Gold and the Jurrasic League

With a new timeline and new costumes, Time Jerks is set to be packed with adventures for Booster Gold and the Jurassic League. Watching Booster tackle the conundrum he has created will be highly entertaining, especially when he has to somehow convey, “Hey, nice costumes, but you’re supposed to be dead, and I need to fix the timeline to ensure that happens.” Booster Gold’s time-stream blunder also opens up exciting prospects for the rest of the dinosaur Justice League members, as fans have only seen Batsaur, Supersaur, and Wonderdon in their new costumes so far.
