The future of the MCU’s small screen offerings is continuing to shape up with the confirmation of 2026’s first show, making one hero more likely to appear in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. With the departure of Jonathan Majors, the details of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty are looking relatively unclear. Whether Kang will still take center stage and who will be portraying him is one thing, however, but the titular team themselves are also looking far too ambiguous when considering that the penultimate Avengers movie of the Multiverse Saga is so close to being released.

So far, the presumed line-up of Avengers includes any one of the protagonists introduced in the Multiverse Saga and a smattering of Infinity Saga legacy heroes whose MCU future is hampered by the fact that they have barely had as much solo screentime as Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. It was recently revealed that a WandaVision sequel will be taking place in the form of a Vision-focused solo series. This news flies in the face of rumors that the MCU’s Vision Quest series was being scrapped, but whether it will retain that specific title is unclear. What is clear, however, is that the series is releasing in the same year as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, suggesting that Vision (or White Vision, as looks likely) will have a role to play in the next big team-up as he did in two previous Avengers movies.

What remains to be seen is whether Vision’s solo series will occur either before or after Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, as the series has yet to receive a concrete release date beyond “2026”. If Vision’s solo series precedes Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, then it allows for Vision to re-join the roster after several years of very conspicuous absence, re-establishing his presence before becoming an Avenger once more. If it follows Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, then it will fall to the team-up movie to reintroduce Vision before his story is finally expanded on in the show.

Vision’s MCU Return Could Debut Another Kang Variant

White Vision was last seen being bestowed with the original Vision’s memories, which leads to the reported notion (via Deadline) that his solo series will center around him coming to terms with his identity and memories. This parallels another version of Vision in the comics, dubbed Jonas, whose genesis came when a teenage Kang variant stumbled upon a vestige of Vision in a ruined Avengers Mansion. Vision would help this Kang variant become Iron Lad, and both would then go on to form the Young Avengers before Kang the Conqueror attacked.

If Vision’s solo show releases first, this suggests that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty may focus on the Young Avengers. The most recent cinematic post-credits scene lends credence to this notion, as Kamala Khan approached Kate Bishop to get the Young Avengers ball rolling. This would be an exciting development, as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty would finally spotlight the MCU’s fresh-faced cast and presumed future stars, giving a boost to audience sentiments towards them which are currently quite lackluster in comparison to their more mature predecessors.
