Big Brother is a game of skill and strategy, but it’s intriguing to consider which zodiac signs have won the game the most. Hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, Big Brother premiered on July 5, 2000 on CBS, and since become one of the most-loved reality competition series in history. The winners have come from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and places, and it’s interesting to consider how much their zodiac signs might have influenced their ability to play the game.

Big Brother requires its houseguests to have a tremendous amount of physical stamina, mental acuity, social ability, emotional intelligence, and clever strategy. Four Big Brother winners, including Jun Song (season 4; born July 19, 1975), Mike “Boogie” Malin (season 7; born July 16, 1970), “Evel” Dick Donato (season 8; born June 24, 1963), and Nicole Franzel (season 18; born June 30, 1992), were Cancers. All four of them were very emotional players, but they were also strategic.

Capricorn, which ranges from December 22–January 19, also boasts four Big Brother winners. Capricorns are go-getters, who push forward no matter what obstacles are in their way. However, they can also tend to be pessimistic and unforgiving. Big Brother winners Dr. Will Kirby (season 2; born January 2, 1973), Josh Martinez (season 19; born January 4, 1994), Kaycee Clark (season 20; born December 26, 1987), and Taylor Hale (season 24; born December 31, 1994) are all Capricorns.

In particular, Josh and Taylor were considered the underdogs of their seasons, and yet they were able to win the whole competition. Josh was expected to lose to Paul Abrahamian, while Taylor was bullied and ostracized by many of her fellow houseguests during the first part of Big Brother 24. Dr. Will is widely regarded as one of the best Big Brother strategists of all time, while Kaycee is considered one of the greatest physical competitors. All four of these Capricorns were true to their signs and were able to persevere to take home the grand prize.

The Taurus zodiac sign ranges from April 20–May 20. Taurus is known for being persistent and resilient, but also stubborn as the bull that represents it. Three Big Brother winners were of the Taurus zodiac sign, including Drew Daniel (season 5; born April 28, 1982), Adam Jasinski (season 9; born April 30, 1978), and Xavier Prather (season 23; born May 12, 1994). Xavier especially embodied the traits of a Taurus, with his unwavering loyalty to his Cookout alliance, and his admirable unwillingness to change his plan to get to the end of the game.

Aquarius also has three Big Brother winners. Aquarius is analytical and technical, honest and loyal, but can also be unpredictable and rebellious. Big Brother winners Lisa Donahue (season 3; born February 4, 1976), Derrick Levasseur (season 16; born February 3, 1984), and Jag Bains (season 25; born February 14, 1998) were Aquarians. Lisa was loyal to her allies, Danielle Reyes and Jason Guy, and made it to the final three with them in true Aquarius fashion.

Derrick proved himself to be a true Aquarius by hiding the fact that he was a police sergeant from his fellow houseguests. He also remained fiercely loyal to his final two Hitmen alliance member, Cody Calafiore. He was extremely careful and strategic with his Big Brother 16 gameplay, and crafted a perfect path to the end of his near-flawless game. In addition, Jag showed himself to be an unpredictable Aquarian when he shifted his Big Brother alliances from week to week. Although he remained loyal to his final two Minutemen alliance member, Matt Klotz, he used the other houseguests as pawns in his strategic game.

Gemini, Scorpio, Sagittarius, & Pisces Have 2 Big Brother Wins Each

The Gemini zodiac sign dates range from May 21–June 20. They’re known for being clever and curious, but also indecisive, impulsive, and unpredictable. This could be why only two Big Brother winners have been Geminis: Hayden Moss (season 12; born May 27, 1986) and Jackson Michie (season 21; born June 13, 1995). Scorpio, which ranges from October 23–November 21, also has only two Big Brother winners, including Jordan Lloyd (season 11; born November 21, 1986) and Andy Herren (season 15; born November 14, 1986). Scorpios are powerful and passionate, but they can be jealous and secretive, which makes playing Big Brother difficult.

Two Big Brother winners were of the Sagittarius zodiac sign, which ranges from November 22–December 21. They were Steve Moses (season 17; born December 10, 1992) and Cody Calafiore (season 22; born December 13, 1990). Sagittarius is optimistic, good-humored, and honest, but they can also sometimes be careless and scattered. Cody demonstrated the best of Sagittarius throughout his time on Big Brother, from his fierce loyalty to Derrick, which cost him the Big Brother 16 win, to his good-natured run on Big Brother 22, when he finally took home the grand prize.

The Pisces zodiac sign ranges from February 19–March 20. Pisces is known for being creative, empathetic, dreamy, and emotional. People born under this sign can also be sensitive and naive, and they tend to trust others too quickly. This could make living in the Big Brother house hard for them. Big Brother winners Eddie McGee (season 1; born February 24, 1979) and Ian Terry (season 14; born March 19, 1991) were Pisceans.

Leo, the zodiac sign ranging from July 23–August 22, has the quality of being a confident leader, who is filled with passion. They have magnetic personalities and love being the center of attention. These are all perfect traits for Big Brother. However, they can also be arrogant, stubborn, self-centered, and impatient, which might be why there’s only one Leo winner: Maggie Ausburn (season 6; born August 14, 1973). Maggie was the leader of the Friendship alliance, with many in the group looking to her to move forward in the game.

Virgo, which ranges from August 23–September 22, also has only one Big Brother win, who was Dan Gheesling (season 10; born September 1, 1983). Dan embodies many Virgo traits, including being modest, shy, reliable, practical, and intelligent. However, Virgos can also be perfectionists and worriers. Dan was a thinker, who was always coming up with great strategies, especially during Big Brother 14, when he returned to the game, and staged his own funeral as a tactic to save himself from being evicted. However, Big Brother could be challenging for a Virgo, which is probably why only one has won the game.

People born under the zodiac sign Libra, which ranges from September 23–October 22, are known for being romantic, charming, and sociable. This perfectly describes Big Brother winner Rachel Reilly (season 13; born October 6, 1983), who is a Libra. During the game, her endearing personality won over her fellow houseguests and fans. Rachel even met her future husband, Brendon Villegas, during her first run on the show in Big Brother 12. However, Libra can be gullible, likes to avoid conflict, and is a people-pleaser, which could make playing Big Brother difficult. This is probably why there’s only one Libra winner.

It’s fascinating that no Big Brother winner has ever been an Aries, whose dates range from March 21–April 19. Aries is known for being enthusiastic, confident, and very competitive. People born under this sign like to win. However, they can also be very impatient and aren’t good at waiting. They can be moody, aggressive, and impulsive, which would be their downfall in Big Brother.

Houseguests must be good at hiding their emotions. They can’t make hasty decisions based on how they’re feeling in the moment, which is why Aries might have trouble in the game. Some notable Aries houseguests were Jennifer Vasquez (season 6; born April 8, 1978), Dominic Briones (season 13; born April 17, 1986), Natalie Negrotti (season 18; born March 22, 1990), Angela Rummans (season 20; born March 23, 1992), and Cody Nickson (season 19; born April 13, 1985), among others.

An Aries has never won a Celebrity Big Brother season either. Season 1 winner Marissa Jaret Winokur is an Aquarius (born February 2, 1973), season 2 winner Tamar Braxton is a Pisces (born March 17, 1977), and season 3 winner Miesha Tate is a Leo (born August 18, 1986). In addition, Big Brother: Over the Top winner Morgan Willett is a Taurus (born May 13, 1994). There’s just something about Aries people that prevents them from winning the game.

It’ll be interesting to see if an Aries ever wins Big Brother in the future. An Aries will have to control their emotions in order to appear to compete in a friendly way. Big Brother houseguests must have balanced personalities. Everyone is there to win, but the winners often find the perfect mix of being confident, but not cocky, so that they remain likable. A bitter jury won’t reward people who’ve done them wrong. There’s a difference between playing the game and getting personal, as some houseguests have learned the hard way in the past.

Big Brother winners span most of the zodiac, and it’s very intriguing to consider which signs do the best in the game. Certain zodiac signs are better suited for the challenging conditions of the game than others. Cancer and Capricorn have the best record when it comes to wins because of their personality traits. While obviously being born under a certain zodiac sign doesn’t predetermine anyone’s Big Brother fate, it’s fun to think about how it could influence their potential for winning the game.
