They are often renowned for their strength and demon slaying abilities. However, each Hashira has a different unique skill or ability that assists them in the perilous fight against bloodthirsty demons, and they don’t all use brute force to accomplish their goals.

Shinobu, the Insect Hashira, may not be as physically mighty as some of the other Hashira, but she boasts phenomenal intelligence and knows how to create poisons that work effectively against even the most terrifying demons. The Insect Hashira is not to be underestimated, and u/purinex has recreated her look effortlessly.

The cosplayer sports a black wig, pulled back into Shinobu’s signature hairstyle. Their eyes are light purple, to match Shinobu’s, and their outfit consists of the black Demon Slayer uniform and a white, pink, and blue butterfly wing patterned kimono, an identical replica of the Insect Hashira’s in the series.

The cosplayer also holds Shinobu’s nichirin sword in their hands, ready for a demon battle. One of the unique touches that sets this cosplay apart from the rest is the inclusion of Shinobu’s Hashira characteristic: butterflies. There are a number of little purple butterflies littered across the kimono, sword, and hair of the cosplayer, giving an incredible effect as if butterflies have landed all over the Hashira. This cosplay is absolutely striking. The Hashira in this series possess complex looks with lots of intricate details, so it is remarkable that u/purinex was able to recreate her appearance to perfection.

Shinobu Kocho is perhaps best known for her kind and happy personality, her swift agility, and her knowledge of demon physiology and medicine. These skills combined make her one of the most distinct and memorable Hashira in the series, giving her great potential to take down demons, including even the strongest of all, Muzan. In the current Hashira Training Arc of Demon Slayer, Shinobu is gearing up to be one of the most important parts of this season, working alongside demon Lady Tamayo to develop a poison that will later be used against Muzan in the fearsome upcoming battle.

She will play an integral role in the coming battle between the horrific demon and the Demon Slayers, using her intelligence to craft a poison that will hopefully bring an end to the demon’s terror. u/purinex has flawlessly recreated every last detail of the esteemed Hashira’s appearance, from the small butterflies to her strikingly unique butterfly inspired outfit. Although Shinobu is not considered the strongest Hashira physically, she is definitely the most wise, and skilled in other areas such as medicine, poison, and physiology.
