With a Vision series coming, the MCU can finally deliver on a 9-year-old Avengers moment. Vision has been a staple of the MCU ever since he debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron. While the human-robot hybrid was meant to be a perfect body for Ultron, he eventually became one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes instead. After that, he developed a relationship with Wanda Maximoff before being killed by Thanos, who ripped the mind stone out of his head. He was brought back by Wanda in Wandavision, only to be killed off again after she let him go to free Westview.

Before he died, Vision transferred his memories to the White Vision, a version created by S.W.O.R.D. White Vision’s future has remained unclear since WandaVision, but it was recently reported that a Vision series is coming in 2026. This series should answer what White Vision has done since the end of WandaVision and how Vision could be restored to his original self. It also can capitalize on an epic moment that left viewers stunned and eager to see Vision become an independent hero.

MCU’s Vision Series Can Shed Light On His Avengers: Age Of Ultron Mjolnir Moment By Showing Him As A Solo Hero

Vision’s MCU introduction in Age of Ultron showcased him as one of the most powerful beings in the universe. He is powered by the Mind Stone, giving him super strength, the power of flight, and a powerful beam he can emit from his forehead. However, what impressed audiences most was when he lifted Mjölnir with little hesitation, especially after all the Avengers failed to do so in the film’s party sequence. It was a humbling moment for Thor to know that someone else was worthy of lifting his hammer, and it demonstrated Vision’s limitless potential.

While Vision was an essential part of Ultron’s defeat, he never had another moment to be the epic hero worthy of wielding the hammer. He was dispatched by Wanda fairly easily in Captain America: Civil War and was mostly sidelined in Avengers: Infinity War. He also didn’t have a significant heroic moment in Wandavision, as he technically wasn’t real. A Vision series is the perfect opportunity to let him shine as a hero outside the Avengers and show why he’s worthy of wielding Mjölnir.

Why Vision Hasn’t Gotten Chance For A Solo Hero Release Until The Multiverse Saga

Vision never got his own project until now because there wasn’t a perfect opportunity for it in the Infinity Saga. The Infinity Saga was mainly built around the original Avengers, like Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. Their journeys were the centerpiece of the universe, although popular characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange had important narratives that tied directly into Infinity War and Endgame. There wasn’t time for a Vision story, and his narrative was mainly tied to Wanda’s character arc.

The Multiverse Saga is the perfect time for a Vision story, especially with Marvel’s new release strategy. A White Vision story doesn’t need to be a crucial part of the multiverse and could fall perfectly under Marvel’s Spotlight banner. A solo journey of Vision regaining his original self is worth exploring, and Marvel can make it independent of the main storyline without tying it into everything else. Vision is still one of the most powerful characters in the MCU and could be crucial in the fight against whatever villain leads the charge in Secret Wars.
