A Quiet Place: Day One‘s rating has been revealed, continuing a franchise trend that confirms how old viewers should be when watching the post-apocalyptic movie. The upcoming prequel stars Lupita Nyong’o as Sam, a woman living in New York City when the Death Angels arrive from space. Alongside a variety of other survivors, she must attempt to escape the loud city without making a sound. The story of A Quiet Place: Day One promises the biggest entry so far thanks to its city setting and being early in the franchise’s timeline.

Now, Film Ratings has revealed that A Quiet Place: Day One has earned a PG-13 rating, just like all the other movies in the franchise that came before it. The prequel film is said to have this rating because of “terror and violent content/bloody images,” which is also in line with why the other two movies earned their ratings. This means the horror movie will likely have a similar feel to those previous entries, with the same level of horror throughout.
