Sinister Stranger Things art features Eleven teaming up with a Demogorgon. Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things season 1 released on Netflix back in 2016, introducing audiences to Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven, a test subject from the Hawkins Lab with telekinetic powers. Eleven and the rest of cast returned for season 4 in 2022 to face off against Vecna, and the upcoming Stranger Things season 5 is now set to conclude their story next year.

A piece of art created by Austen Mengler (shared on Instagram by DeviantArt FanArt) now imagines a different story for Eleven in Stranger Things, one in which she becomes evil. Check out the art below:

In contrast to how Eleven’s dynamic with the Demogorgon has been portrayed in past seasons, this new evil version of Brown’s character actually appears to be teamed up with the evil Upside Down creature, and they certainly make for a formidable pairing.

Could Stranger Things Season 5 Feature A Darker Eleven?

Turning Millie Bobby Brown’s Character Bad Would Challenge The Rest Of The Cast

Stranger Things season 4 Eleven at the Nina facility corridor

So far, none of the Stranger Things cast of characters have really gone bad, either by their own choice or under the influence of some grander force of evil. The closest Eleven has ever come to adopting a darker persona is in season 2 when she teams up with a group of outcasts. It’s possible, however, that season 5 could throw a wrench in the works and turn a previously good character bad.

After the Stranger Things season 4 finale, Vecna has been defeated but remains alive. Some theories have posited that Vecna could somehow return using another character as a vessel, such as Max (Sadie Sink) or Will (Noah Schnapp). It would be interesting, however, if Eleven was instead the character to fall under some dark influence outside of her control.

In basically every season thus far, humanity has been saved by Eleven and her powers. Removing the lifeline of Eleven’s powers would be an interesting way to mix up the formula for season 5, and it would truly challenge those around her, especially Mike (Finn Wolfhard). Turning any character evil, however, would also potentially mess up the winning character dynamics that have been established in past seasons. It’s unclear if Eleven will actually turn evil in Stranger Things, but the fan art above certainly suggests she would be a terrifying villain.
