AMC confirms the release window for Mayfair Witches season 2, as the supernatural drama extends Anne Rice’s universe. The second television show set in the shared Immortal Universe, based on Rice’s novels, Mayfair Witches premiered after 2022’s Interview with the Vampire. It stars Alexandra Daddario as Dr. Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon who learns she is connected to a powerful family of witches. With a cast including Tongayi Chirisa, Jack Huston, and Harry Hamlin, Mayfair Witches season 2 was renewed in February 2023.

A new teaser shared by AMC’s Immortal Universe on social media, confirms that Mayfair Witches season 2 will premiere in 2025. An exact date has not yet been announced.

The short teaser, which features several actors from the series, is backed by a dramatic score. It builds to a tagline that reads: “Embrace the darkness.”

The Mayfair Witches season 1 finale, written by showrunner Esta Spalding and directed by Alexis Ostrander, pays off Rowan embracing her powers. Drawn into a vision by the mysterious Lasher (Huston), Rowan learns she can heal herself and others. Throughout the episode, Rowan’s pregnancy speeds up, and she goes into labor, ultimately giving birth to a baby that will be a reborn Lasher.

Although plot details about the upcoming episodes remain a mystery, casting details offer some preview. Superstore alum Ben Feldman will play Sam Larkin, CEO of a genetics startup and Rowan’s ex-boyfriend. Alyssa Jirrels, meanwhile, will portray Rowan’s cousin, the mind reader Moira Mayfair. Monk actor Ted Levine is set to recur as Julien Mayfair, described as a master manipulator. Thora Birch will have a guest role as Gifford Mayfair, as the Ghost World and American Beauty actor will play a self-deprecating tarot card reader.
