Below Deck season 11’s boatmances were turbulent all season long, especially Ben Willoughby’s romance with Marie “Sunny” Marquis, but did the pair stay together after their time on the series ended? Ben, who was first featured on Below Deck season 10 where he had another boatmance with Camille Lamb, swore that he wasn’t going to get into anything romantic during his second turn on St. David. Unfortunately for Ben, his relationship with Sunny was one he didn’t see coming. The pair were instantly attracted to each other, and with both of them working on the exterior team, things heated up.

Ben and Sunny’s boatmance wasn’t a struggle early on, as both were excited to get closer and learn more about each other. While neither of them appeared to be interested in getting anything serious, Sunny quickly became more interested in labeling the relationship and creating some boundaries, while Ben wasn’t sure that he needed anything defined. While the pair were interested in one another, things were rocky as they worked through their issues. The couple separated a bit before coming back together, then did this again later in the charter season. After Below Deck season 11, are Ben & Sunny together?

While Ben, who appeared on Below Deck season 10 for his inaugural charter season, was convinced that he wasn’t going to get into another boatmance after he was burned before. Ben’s Below Deck boatmance with Camille was a struggle throughout the charter, and after his former flame was fired, Ben and Camille tried to keep their relationship afloat after the season ended. Ben revealed Camille had cheated on him during their time together. He was turned off from boatmances, but after seeing Sunny, he changed his tune.

The pair quickly got together aboard St. David, at first casually hooking up, but getting more serious as the charters continued. Ben wasn’t interested in putting any serious labels on his relationship with Sunny, letting her know that they should keep things casual while they were on the boat and see how they felt after the final charter of the season. Sunny was okay with this, but she felt that there should be a few boundaries in place, and when Ben was disrespectful, she let him know. Though the pair struggled throughout the charter season, they left St. David happy.

Are Ben & Sunny Still Together?

Ben and Sunny chose to leave Below Deck season 11 together, but their time after their work on the superyacht was over is still somewhat fuzzy. While they hadn’t made any announcements about their relationship status before the show ended, their social media activity provided some clues about where things stand between the Bosun and his Lead Deckhand. Ben, who has been outspoken on social media throughout his time on Below Deck season 11, has shared some photos of what he’s been up to since the season that have included Sunny, which led some to believe the pair are together.

After Below Deck season 11’s finale aired, Ben and Sunny were finally free to talk about where they stand as a couple, and their news didn’t disappoint. Ben shared that 15 months after the season finished filming, he’s happy to finally report that he and Sunny are still together.
