In DC Comics, Superman and Batman have been drawn by countless talents over the decades, with Jim Lee’s artistic take on these heroic characters producing some of the most well-recognized and popular comic book art of all time. And now, in an inspired cosplay collaboration, Jim Lee’s versions of The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel are brought into the live-action space, effortlessly paying homage to Mr. Lee’s legendary status as the influential storyteller he is.
Shared on Instagram by the Superman and Batman cosplayers in the photo — Jake Fogg (@foggyknight14) and @zack_attack_cosplay, respectively — these two creatives know what it takes to make a stunning comic-accurate cosplay and have proven that time and time again with each new homemade design.
Dressing as Gambit, Daredevil, Wolverine, Green Lantern, and more between the two of them, this Superman/Batman cosplay is a joint effort that pays off incredibly well, especially after seeing how accurate the final image is to Jim Lee’s original work.

Jim Lee’s Batman And Superman Are Live-Action Icons In New Cosplay Image
Cosplay Designs By @foggyknight14 And @zack_attack_cosplay
A cosplay inspired by the image of Batman standing on a gargoyle overlooking Gotham City as seen on the second printing cover of 2002’s Batman #608, this image is one of Jim Lee’s most sought-after bat-pics but didn’t receive its Superman-focused companion piece until over 20 years later. Creating a mirror image of Big Blue standing on a building in Metropolis also looking over his city, this Superman art was used as the variant cover for 2023’s Superman #7, an issue that also acted as Supes’ 850th milestone legacy issue.
Posing in the same triumphant superhero stances Jim Lee drew their comic counterparts in, Jake and @zack_attack_cosplay — in a photo shot and edited by Ryan Sims (@ryansimsphotography) — nail the look and feel of these DC Comics titans in a way that’s as comic-accurate as it can get. Splitting the image to separate the doom and gloom of Gotham City from the bright and cheery Metropolis, Jake’s determined look and clenched fists show a Superman ready for anything, while @zack_attack_cosplay’s Batman wears a batsuit that looks indistinguishable from Jim Lee’s art.
Jim Lee’s Art Comes To Life In Perfect Batman/Superman Cosplay Adaptation
Adding to the ever-lasting appeal of these Superman and Batman pieces, Jim Lee more recently released a corresponding image featuring Wonder Woman to honor the second printing of her relaunched solo series written by Tom King and illustrated by Daniel Sampere, completing a trifecta of artwork that Jake Fogg (@foggyknight14) and @zack_attack_cosplay absolutely need to adapt next. Jim Lee’s take on Superman and Batman are prime examples of how to do these characters justice visually, and now these designs have inspiring live-action looks to go with them.
