Reddit user, GoryKlouds has recreated the terrifying villain’s signature appearance with an astoundingly menacing cosplay. The look represents Dio’s appearance in part three of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, the Stardust Crusaders Arc. In the incredible photograph, the cosplayer lounges on some red rocks with an intimidating expression.

Their hair is short, spiky, and blonde, worn just like Dio’s in Jojo’s third season. The costume itself consists of a bright yellow shirt and pants over a black, turtleneck bodysuit. GoryKlouds has also donned golden boots and wristbands, as well as Dio’s signature green heart headband and knee accessories.

Dio Brando is one of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’s most evil and threatening characters, and this cosplay certainly does the villain justice with an accurate portrayal of his trademark season three look. He appears very different and more terrifying in the Stardust Crusaders Arc than he does in the Phantom Blood Arc, when he was first introduced to the franchise. This is because between these seasons of the series, Dio took control of the body of Jonathan Joestar, giving him a more muscular and menacing build in the later season three due to his entirely new and stolen physique.

In this part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Dio had access to a newfound weapon called a Stand. His was named “The World” and allowed him to freeze time, making him the most unstoppable villain in the series up to that point.
