Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Is About To End The Series

Discovery’s final episode premieres May 30th on Paramount+

Star Trek: Discovery has only one episode left, the series finale titled “Life, Itself” written by showrunner Michelle Paradise and directed by Olatunde Osunsanme. Discovery‘s finale has a lot of ground to cover. The penultimate Star Trek: Discovery episode, “Lagrange Point,” directed by Jonathan Frakes, saw Captain Burnham lead an away team to the Breen dreadnought to steal the portal to the Progenitors’ technology. Burnham then vanished into the portal chasing after Moll (Eve Harlow).

The series finale of Star Trek: Discovery will be a longer episode to wrap up the entire saga. Discovery’s cast and crew returned to Toronto months after season 5’s filming wrapped to shoot new scenes as a coda to close out Star Trek: Discovery and tie up the main characters’ stories. Thankfully, despite its cancelation by Paramount+, Star Trek: Discovery won’t end on a cliffhanger and will have an ending that delivers closure. And how high Star Trek: Discovery‘s remaining season 5 episodes will chart in the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 remains to be seen.
