An original cast member from That ’70s Show will have an expanded role in That ’90s Show season 2. A few regulars from That ’70s Show, such as Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, and Don Stark, made appearances in That ’90s Show season 1, giving it a sense of familiarity as well as appealing to fans of the original show.

Now, in a recent report from Deadline, it has been confirmed that Stark, who made a brief cameo in That ’90s Show season 1 as Bob Pinciotti, will be returning for season 2. He is expected to take on a much bigger role in the show’s new season, which will see him return to town and reconnect with Kitty Forman and her husband Red.

Aside from the aforementioned Stark, Kunis, and Kutcher, some of the original That ’70s Show characters who also appeared include Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman) and Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman), both of whom had major roles in season 1, along with other names like Laura Prepon (Donna Forman) and Grace, who plays Eric Forman.

While these familiar names and faces were a much welcomed addition to season 1, reports have confirmed that a good number of them will not be returning for That ’90s Show season 2. After making brief cameos in the premiere of That ’90s Show, it has been confirmed that Kunis and Kutcher will not be returning for season 2. It also appears that Grace, who also featured in the spinoff’s pilot episode, will not be returning.

This news might come as a disappointment to some, and it might even pose a few problems with the forthcoming season’s story, leaving gaps that could’ve been filled by the original cast. However, this also provides the opportunity for the new generation to grow and establish themselves as strong personalities on their own. The trailer for That ’90s Show season 2 reveals there will be more exciting cameos ahead, such as Tommy Chong as Leo and Seth Green as Mitch Miller, as well as other ’90s stars like Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith and Carmen Electra.
