Season 2 Releasing June 16

In 2011, Game of Thrones became a smash hit new series when it began airing on HBO. The show broke a lot of the rules when it came to making a TV show, and not just because of the gratuitous nudity and violence. Outside of these things, the show became famous for killing off central characters after convincing audiences that the characters would be important and central to the story.

After eight seasons, and more deaths than can reasonably be counted, the show ended, and HBO turned elsewhere to continue the narrative. Then in 2022, the prequel series, House of the Dragon revealed new insights into the Targaryen family and their power struggles in Westeros. Nearly two years after season 1 came out, the follow-up is set to be released weekly, starting on June 16.
