Dune: Prophecy now has an official release window. The upcoming Dune prequel show is set 10,000 years before the events of the two Denis Villeneuve movies adapting the iconic Frank Herbert novel of the same name. It will follow the events that led to Valya (Emily Watson) and Tula Harkonnen (Olivia Williams) establishing the clandestine and powerful sisterhood known as the Bene Gesserit. The ensemble cast of the show also includes Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka, Chris Mason, Jodhi May, Josh Heuston, and Tabu.

During the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation, Chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content Casey Bloys unveiled a teaser for Dune: Prophecy which also revealed that the show is set to premiere on the streaming platform in Fall 2024.

Dune: Prophecy is a television adaptation of Sisterhood of Dune novel, a prequel to the events of the original Dune. The show is set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’s ascension and centers around the Harkonnen Sisters. Dune: Prophecy will follow the sisters as they battle evils that threaten to erase humanity as they establish the sect of Bene Gesserit. Diane Ademu-John acts as the showrunner for the series.
