The Golden Bachelorette premieres this fall on ABC, and, while Jesse Palmer has been doing a fantastic job as the host of all of the Bachelor Nation shows, it might make sense for a woman from the franchise to replace him for the upcoming reality dating series for seniors. The Golden Bachelorette follows in the footsteps of The Golden Bachelor, which was a tremendous hit for ABC. It starred Gerry Turner, a 72-year-old retired restaurateur and widower from Hudson, Indiana, who was searching for the next great love of his life.

Gerry found her in Theresa Nist, a 70-year-old financial services professional and widow from Shrewsbury, New Jersey. They met, fell in love, and got engaged on the show, and then got married in a live, televised event on January 4, 2024. Not only that, but Faith’s calming personality would make the lead and contestants of The Golden Bachelorette feel very comfortable.

The Golden Bachelor season 1 runner-up Leslie would make a fabulous host for The Golden Bachelorette. She made it all the way to the end with Gerry, but ended up not getting chosen. Therefore, she has experience with every aspect of the show, from premiere night to the overnight Fantasy Suites. She understands how difficult the journey can be for contestants who aren’t chosen because she has firsthand experience with it, so she would be a great shoulder for them to cry on.

Leslie appeared on Joey’s Bachelor season as an advisor to Kelsey Anderson. She spoke to her before her Fantasy Suite date, telling her that she wished she’d guarded her heart a bit more because she was devastated when Gerry didn’t choose her in the end. Although some viewers criticized Leslie, accusing her of putting a dark cloud over Kelsey’s overnight date, the reality was that she spoke the truth.

Joey did choose Kelsey in the end, but at the time, it wasn’t certain that he would. Leslie gave Kelsey some practical advice that’s crucial for bringing contestants back down to Earth after they’ve been floating on cloud nine all season. Leslie would be the perfect Golden Bachelorette host because she’d speak the truth about the situation, and help the lead and the contestants make more realistic decisions.

Sandra first appeared on The Golden Bachelor season 1, and she caught everyone’s attention with her hilarious personality and go-getter philosophy in life. Sandra was so determined to find love that she even missed her daughter’s wedding to appear on the show (with her daughter’s blessing to go get her man). She was also very funny throughout the show, especially when she did a calming exercise with Gerry when she first met him on premiere night, during which she used expletives as her mantra.

Sandra was an advisor to Daisy Kent on Joey’s Bachelor season before her overnight Fantasy Suite date. She told her to be intimate with Joey because men like that sort of thing. She also said that she should keep positive thoughts, and not worry about the other women. As the host of The Golden Bachelorette, Sandra would bring her own unique personality to the show. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, and she could inspire the lead of the show to do the same.

Natascha is a vivacious pro-aging and midlife speaker, who has a vibrant personality. The Golden Bachelor viewers were just getting to know her when Gerry eliminated her during week 2. However, Natascha made a lasting impression on Bachelor Nation. On the Gold Carpet at the Golden Wedding, she gave an inspiring speech about chasing one’s dreams. She continues to encourage people as an older woman who’s full of life, forging a new path for herself.

The Golden Bachelorette lead is sure to have some difficult moments during the show, and Natascha would be the perfect host to help her through it. She could also do the same for the men on the show. Natascha is an advocate for older people, and she knows how to motivate people with her encouraging words. She spreads positivity wherever she goes, which would be especially important during those taxing moments on the reality dating series. Natascha brings her magic to everything she touches, and she would be a bright light as the host of The Golden Bachelorette.

Trista was the first-ever star of The Bachelorette, so it seems fitting that she should be the host of the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. Trista married her final Bachelorette choice Ryan Sutter in 2003 in a televised wedding, and they have two children together. She first appeared as the runner-up on The Golden Bachelor season 1, starring Alex Michel. Trista currently hosts the Almost Famous OG podcast, and does an excellent job with it.

Trista’s most recent memorable and meaningful Bachelor Nation appearance was on The Golden Bachelor season 1, when she advised Gerry that he had to find not necessarily the person he could live with, but the person that he couldn’t live without. This was the same advice that she was given during her Bachelorette season. Gerry went back to this advice throughout the season, and even included it in his proposal to Theresa. If Trista could be that impactful during just one conversation with Gerry, imagine what she could do as the host for the entire season of The Golden Bachelorette.

Clare Crawley

The Bachelorette Season 16

Clare had a long Bachelor Nation journey, which began when she was the runner-up on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season. She then went on to appear in Bachelor in Paradise seasons 1 and 2, and The Bachelor Winter Games, during which she got engaged to Benoit Beauséjour-Savard during the show’s tell-all episode. However, that relationship ended and Clare later took the lead of The Bachelorette season 16. At age 39, she was the oldest woman ever to take on the role, which was an inspiration. Clare ended her season early when she fell in love with Dale Moss and got engaged, but that relationship also eventually came to an end.

Clare is now married to Mascot Sports CEO Ryan Dawkins, and they have a daughter. Ryan also has two daughters from a previous relationship. Clare has had so much experience with being on Bachelor franchise shows, both as the lead and as a contestant, so she’d make the ideal host. Clare is known for standing up for what she believes in, and she would be an encouraging voice and advocate for the Golden Bachelorette lead. With her bubbly personality and sweet demeanor, Clare would brighten every episode of the series.

The Bachelorette season 20 star Charity broke the Bachelorette curse which began with Hannah Brown, in which the leads called off their engagements shortly after their seasons ended. After Hannah, Clare Crawley, Tayshia Adams, Katie Thurston, Michelle Young, Rachel Recchia, and Gabby Windey all ended up single, and it seemed as though The Bachelorette had run its course. However, Charity got engaged to Dotun Olubeko at the end of her season, and, a year later, they’re still going strong and planning a 2025 wedding.

Charity would make a wonderful host for The Golden Bachelorette because she has had a successful Bachelor Nation relationship. She knows what it takes to transfer the relationship from the fantasy world of the show to real life, and make it continue to work. In addition, Charity served as a Gold Carpet correspondent at the Golden Wedding and placed 4th on Dancing With The Stars season 32, along with her partner, Artem Chigvintsev, proving that she has the star quality to carry the show. She’s also a therapist in real life, which would help her advise the lead. Charity should definitely be given the chance to host The Golden Bachelorette.

Kaitlyn Bristowe

The Bachelorette Season 11

Kaitlyn got her start on Chris Soules’ Bachelor season, and then starred in her own Bachelorette season. She got engaged to Shawn Booth, but they broke up in November 2018 after three years together. Kaitlyn got engaged to Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick in 2021, but they announced their breakup in August 2023. Although Kaitlyn was unlucky in love in the Bachelor franchise, her experiences could make her a great advisor to the Golden Bachelorette.

In addition, Kaitlyn has a lot of experience in front of the camera. She won Dancing With The Stars season 29, alongside her professional dance partner, Artem Chigvintsev. She’s also the host of the Off the Vine podcast.

However, Kaitlyn’s most important qualification is that she’s already been the co-host of The Bachelorette seasons 17 and 18, starring Katie Thurston and Michelle Young, alongside Tayshia Adams. They did an amazing job of advising the women. In addition, when Tayshia was exposed to COVID-19 before Michelle’s live finale episode, Kaitlyn had to take the reins of the show by herself, and she was praised for doing an incredible job. Kaitlyn should be invited back to host The Golden Bachelorette.

Although Jesse has done a terrific job as the host of the Bachelor franchise shows, The Golden Bachelorette could benefit from a woman’s touch. There are so many extraordinary Bachelor Nation women who would make the hosting job their own. The Golden Bachelorette has the potential to be a big hit for ABC, and choosing the right host is crucial for its success.
