Assuming Suits: L.A. gets picked up at NBC, a 2025 release would be good for the show. McDermitt has reportedly been the comedic breakout star of the show, which is also promising news considering Suits was a very funny show. None of the Suits: L.A. character descriptions feel like recreations of the Suits characters, a mistake that sequels tend to make.

Although seeing characters like Harvey Specter and Mike Ross back in a Suits revival would have been exciting, an all-original Suits show sounds more promising than a proper reboot. Suits ended on a high note despite all the actors, and bringing the show back would risk tarnishing its legacy. Suits: L.A., on the other hand, can be judged by its own merits, especially if only comes out in 2025. Hopefully, Suits: L.A.’s pilot will lead to a worthy succession to Suits.
