Following its blockbuster success, the Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire sequel is officially moving forward at Legendary.
The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that Dave Callaham has been brought on by Legendary to pen the script for the untitled Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire sequel. Callaham is best known for his work in the sphere of comic book adaptations, having co-written the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Though not confirmed at the time of writing, recent Monsterverse director Adam Wingard is also expected to return to “complete a trilogy“.
