5 Rom-Com Movies Libras Will Love (& 5 They Will Hate)

5 Rom-Com Movies Libras Will Love (& 5 They Will Hate)

One thing anyone can say about a Libra is that they believe in love. To counter that, Libras are sociable characters with great balance who will give the shirt off their backs to someone in need. For a male, if you want to make a great first impression on a female Libra, a great Rom-Com movie will always do the trick.

But here’s the catch, it can’t be just any Rom-Com. It doesn’t matter if the movie is funny and full or every girls’ version of an ideal romance, female Libras are built differently and will walk away judging you from the movie you picked. Here are 5 Rom-Com movies Libras will love and 5 they will hate.

Hitch (Love)

5 Rom-Com Movies Libras Will Love (& 5 They Will Hate)

For Libra’s, it’s all about love. Hitch is a do-good romantic comedy that’s centered around a not so popular guy in Albert Brennaman who sought the help of a relationship expert in Hitch (Will Smith) to get the girl of his dreams. The catch here was that Albert didn’t just dream, he went for the stars with his dream girl.

Hitch was full of comedy with Kevin James leading the way. But most of all, it was about a man reaching for the stars when no one thought he had a chance.

While You Were Sleeping (Hate)

While You Were Sleeping is a classic Rom-Com but the reason Libras will not like it is due to the deceit. Keeping balance is a trait Libras rest everything on. A woman finds a man laying on the train tracks and gets him to the hospital. From there, his family just believes that she’s the woman he’s been seeing. She goes along with the lie as his family accepts her.

But in the process, she falls in love with his brother. While Libras do love a good love story, While You Were Sleeping didn’t provide the proper balance needed.

27 Dresses (Love)

What makes 27 Dressers so appealing to Libras, especially the female ones is how well they do in social gatherings. Being invited to 27 weddings and accepting says a lot about how a female Libra stands her ground but also how she’s there for her friends. 27 Dresses is a classic case of boy meets girl, but just in a cab.

Jane agrees to be the subject of Kevin’s article after Jane’s younger sister agrees to marry the man Jane is secretly in love with. Jane questions her place at the wedding which opens the door up for a romance she never expected.

Why Did I Get Married (Hate)

Tyler Perry has a way of bringing together sensitive topics and Why Did I Get Married was one of his best films. However, Libras may scoff at the direction of the film. While each couple has their good times, the movie is mainly focused on the trying issues each had to face.

For a sign that believes in balance, Why Did I Get Married fails because the storyline centers around cheating, lying, and even abuse. The laughs were plentiful but the true essence of romance where the Libra sign resides was missing.

Sixteen Candles (Love)

Anthony Michael Hall and Molly Ringwald in Sixteen Candles

Taking it back to one of the classics is never a bad idea. What John Hughes was able to pull off with a young cast still stands as one of the best Rom-Com movies ever. Libras will love everything about Sixteen Candles. It provides laughs, heartfelt moments, and of course, romance.

Everything in the script was pure and from the heart which centered around the high school aspect of love. Nerds going for the girl of their dreams and girls going for the man of theirs.

The Best Man (Hate)

A great of a movie that The Best Man was, it’s simply not made for Libras. For starters, Libras are non-confrontational and will try their best to avoid any messes. The Best Man was well written but every character had a flaw that was exploited.

Harper was the best man at his friend’s wedding but his deep secret could bring the whole thing crashing down. Too many secrets in the storyline will tun the average Libra away.

Notting Hill (Love)

Julia Roberts in Notting Hill

Libras believe in love. Maybe more than the other 11 signs. Notting Hill provided Libras with the classic case of what if? What would happen if a normal guy ran across a famous person and they just clicked? How many times have you watched TV and wondered what it would be like to meet your famous crush and fall in love?

Well, for William Thacker, it actually happened. Notting Hill was a modern-day Cinderella but from a man’s perspective. He had no chance but he managed to win over the heart of the movie star Anna Scott played by Julia Roberts.

You’ve Got Mail (Hate)

You’ve Got Mail is another classic in the Rom-Com genre but for Libras, it may be a waste of time. Any movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan is worth watching but this one didn’t check all the proper boxes. Let’s break down the one trait that will turn Libras off.

Libras love to be social. They love crowds and You’ve Got Mail centered around a relationship built on secrecy and a computer. Nowadays, long-distance relationships are the norm but to fall in love through emails is not the typical Libra way.

Think Like A Man (Love)

For the female Libras, this is an awesome movie. The storyline was well done with such a creative approach. It was a true romance story but not focused on just one couple. It took viewers on a journey through the eyes of six men and women as each tried to assert their dominance in a partnership.

While the cast was larger, the writers did an excellent giving each their own voice. The lessons were plentiful but Think Like A Man was about the laughs thanks to Kevin Hart. It’s a perfect film for a date night.

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (Hate)

There’s no real balance for a Libra to get invested in How to Lose A Guy In 10 Days. The movie, while funny is full of too much confusion and challenges. It’s a mess. For other signs, this could play well for a date movie. While each romance movie will have its ups and downs, this one focuses too much on the deceit.

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days is what happens when two people are convinced they’re not ready for a relationship. Both love the single life but meeting the right person even at the wrong time could change your life.
