Scorpios tend to be very determined, brave, and loyal people, but they can also be jealous and secretive. Many popular traits of people in this zodiac lend themselves to reality television shows. Reality shows are all the rage right now and there really is something for everyone within this genre of television.
Whether it is competition shows focused on specific talents or something that really is focused on secrets and deception there is a show out there for everyone. But what reality shows would a Scorpio specifically hate and love?
Will Love: Love Is Blind
This is one of the newest reality shows, but that didn’t stop it from becoming a total mega-hit. This reality series focuses on finding love and proving that it isn’t about the looks, but what’s underneath that matters. People talk behind a wall and get to know each other without ever seeing the other person.
The looks are the big reveal, but the entire time the audience gets to see both people and therefore they feel like they’re in on the secret. This is perfect for a Scorpio as they are great secret keepers and do enjoy gossip, therefore knowing this big reveal and how things might work is ideal for them.
Will Hate: Love Island
One of the major weaknesses that a Scorpio suffers from is jealousy, and Love Island is a reality series where jealousy is rife. Whether it’s girls being jealous of other females on the island for dating someone, or the men doing the exact same thing, it is constant on this show.
Because jealousy plays such a key part in the show, it is something that a Scorpio wouldn’t find that enjoyable. The show purposefully puts in games that force people involved to do things that incite jealousy, so it’s just not a great option for them.
Will Love: Survivor
Scorpios tend to be some of the bravest people out there, and they would certainly thrive being on Survivor. However, they would also love watching this reality show as well because bravery and a sense of adventure are absolutely key to the series.
Seeing a group of people stuck on an island having to literally survive is something that a Scorpio could easily get stuck into watching. The different situations they have to deal with from building shelter to capturing food is something that they would relish in viewing, mainly because it is so exciting.
Will Hate: Big Brother
In complete contrast to Survivor, Scorpios wouldn’t like Big Brother. While both shows effectively see the contestants trapped in one place, there’s no doubt that Survivor is the more exciting option. Because the contestants have to show initiative and skill to survive, it really does provide a thrill.
Big Brother, on the other hand, has everything already provided with a comedy house and lots of other benefits. The sense of adventure isn’t there with this series and instead, the contestants are trapped in a much more boring cacoon, which a Scorpio would find less interesting.
Will Love: Instant Hotel
This is another newer reality show that focuses on Airbnb owners in Australia. There are groups that compete and they stay in each others apartment and they all score each other as the greatest Airbnb is decided upon. It’s a great show that is fantastic for those with a sense of adventure and love for travel.
Each place is in a totally different part of Australia so it really allows for travel to take place. It also showcases great creativity in how the Airbnb’s are presented, as well as great loyalty to their business partners, and considering that loyalty is a big trait of a Scorpio, this is a perfect show.
Will Hate: Catfish
Typically, a Scorpio likes honesty and truth. They are very rarely liars and they appreciate being given the same respect, which is why Catfish is no good for them. The entire premise of this series is based upon a lie, as that is how every episode begins, with someone being catfished.
Because of that, it is one that Scorpios wouldn’t like, because while they can be secretive, they aren’t dishonest like people on this show are. People who appear on Catfish lie about their identity and it causes major heartache, which a Scorpio wouldn’t approve of.
Will Love: SAS: Who Dares Wins
This reality show has also become very popular as of late as it focuses on several legitimate SAS members trying to put a group of wannabe recruits through their paces. There are seasons focused on the public as well as ones with celebrities as they’re put through rigorous tasks each day as the SAS try to break them down.
It shows just how brave and determine someone has to be to become a member of the SAS and the personal growth that people go through on this show is amazing to see. A Scorpio likes to be challenged, and contestants on this series certainly have to deal with many of them.
Will Hate: Dating Around
Scorpios tend to be very loyal and trusting of their romantic partners and they take romance very seriously because of that. Once they’re in a relationship they are committed and they don’t tend to cheat and have affairs.
That’s why this show would be something that they wouldn’t enjoy because the whole premise is seeing someone go on lots of dates in order to get an idea of who they’re attracted to. While that is interesting to some, for a Scorpio, they’d rather just commit to one person.
Will Love: Hells Kitchen
A Scorpio is passionate about the things they believe in and want to pursue, and that is certainly the case for those who enter Hell’s Kitchen. This amazing reality show has always been a big hit with audiences as Gordon Ramsay tries to pick out a new head chef each season.
There’s no questioning his passion for quality, which is one of the reasons the show is so funny and has such high standards. But those who participate are always dedicated to their craft, which a Scorpio would no doubt respect and enjoy.
Will Hate: The Circle
While The Circle is certainly one big secret, as contestants never meet face to face, it has a lot of things that a Scorpio hates. With people rating each other to determine who stays, and who is eliminated, lying is an easy way of gaining trust with others.
These lies can come back to bite people, but that isn’t something that Scorpios like. They value loyalty and honesty towards people and a show like this does the complete opposite, which makes it the worst possible show for them.
