5 Musical Movies Taurus Will Love (& 5 They Will Hate)

The Taurus sign is a very reliable sign. People born under this sign usually have an incredible ability to remain patient and understanding, even in the most frustrating circumstances. A lot of that comes from their innate stubbornness as well. The Taurus sign is known for being the most stubborn sign in the zodiac, which sometimes can be used to their advantage, but it can also get Taurus folks into trouble.

Most Taurus love music and are drawn to it in all of its forms, including musicals, both on stage and on the big screen. Here are some musical movies any Taurus will love, and a few they should leave out of their Netflix queue.

Love: La La Land

5 Musical Movies Taurus Will Love (& 5 They Will Hate)

Because the Taurus sign has a natural appreciation for music, they will definitely love Damian Chazelle’s original musical, La La Land, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.

This musical is about two dreamers living in LA, one trying to be an actress, the other a jazz musician, who meet and fall in love and struggle not only in their own relationship but in their personal career journeys.

Hate: Cats

Though this musical is a classic and one of the most well-known and longest-running musicals on Broadway, the film adaptation fell flat, and most critics and audience members agree, it didn’t do the original musical any justice.

People born under the Taurus sign would be better off seeing this musical live on stage and skipping over it on their next movie night.

Love: A Star Is Born

This is another movie full of original music that any person born under the Taurus sign will surely love. The film follows Jackson Maine and Ally, two musicians who fall in love.

When they meet, Jackson is already a very famous rockstar and when he brings Ally on stage during one of his shows, she becomes an overnight success, which greatly affects their relationship. The Taurus sign will not only fall in love with the music but also with the story.

Hate: Oklahoma

Oklahoma musical

Though this is a classic and the Taurus sign definitely carries an appreciation for classic work that’s shaped how we make movies and music today, the storyline in this particular musical is not something the Taurus sign will find relatable or very engaging.

This musical is about a girl in a small town in Oklahoma, struggling to decide between two male suitors. It’s a classic tale, but a little out-dated for most Taurus people.

Love: The Producers

Taurus people will find the main characters in this movie extremely relatable and it may even give them a chance to laugh at themselves. Both Max and Leo, the two main characters in this film, played by Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane, are very reliable and practical, but they use their Taurus-like qualities to scheme and break the law.

They decide to put on the worst musical ever knowing that if a play is deemed “a flop” the IRS won’t look into how much money it made, even if the flop makes a profit.

Hate: Pitch Perfect

In the female-led comedy, Pitch Perfect, there are a few great music mashups and a capella arrangements of popular songs, but the Taurus sign will most likely be turned off by the sugar-coated storylines and all of the pop music because none of it is very original.

The Taurus sign watches musical movies to feel inspired or to see something they haven’t seen before, and this is not a movie with much originality in it.

Love: Moulin Rouge

The is a movie that takes pop music and does put a twist on it to give it an original take and storyline and that is something any Taurus will love to see and take in.

In this romantic musical, starring Nicole Kidman and Ewen McGregor, the two main characters share an epic love story and frequently reveal their feelings through original arrangements of classic hits like “Your Song” and “Roxanne.”

Hate: High School Musical

The Disney hit musical, High School Musical, is not something the Taurus sign should take time to see. It’s very basic in the storyline, characters, and structure, and what the High School’s musical is actually about is never quite clear.

The Taurus sign will also struggle to find any sympathy for characters like Sharpei Evans who has very few redeeming qualities and a massive ego.

Love: The King And I

The king and I Shall We Dance

One of the reasons the Taurus sign will fall in love with the classic musical, The King and I, is for its costumes and design. People born under the Taurus sign have a deep appreciation for the finer things in life and this film did an amazing job of showing some of those finer things.

After the film’s release in 1966, it won a number of Academy Awards, including Best Costume Design and Best Art Direction.

Hate: Grease

The Taurus sign loves romance and a good love story, but not when there is clearly an imbalance between the two main characters, and their love story is based on lies and manipulation.

It’s safe to say the musical feature film, Grease, hasn’t aged well for most people born under the Taurus sign. The only reason this film gets a happy ending is that Sandy makes drastic changes to herself and her character in order to win back Danny’s heart.
