5 Marvel Characters Capricorn Will Relate To (5 They Won’t Understand)

As one of the earth signs of the zodiac, Capricorns are typically very low key while still being extremely upstanding, reliable, and steady as a rock. They are not flashy or boastful, they are natural born realists who focus on concrete things, and they aren’t prone to giving way to flights of fancy. However, that doesn’t mean that they don’t enjoy letting their imaginations run wild when it comes to the fiction that they enjoy.

The MCU is such a media juggernaut that it’s impossible for anyone to not find something within it that they enjoy or can relate to. But on the other side of that coin, invariably everyone will find aspects of it that they don’t like or understand. So when it comes to Capricorn, which characters in the MCU do they relate to, and which do they not understand at all?

Relate To: Thanos

Clearly any sane person is not going to find Thanos to be naturally relatable, but when it comes to villains in the MCU, Thanos is probably the easiest one for Capricorn to understand.

Thanos’ whole concept behind wiping out half of the life in the universe is an extremely utilitarian way of looking at things, and that kind of intensely rational thinking is something that naturally appeals to Capricorns.

Won’t Understand: Star-Lord

Capricorns can actually have spectacular senses of humor, but they don’t typically let a lot of people know it right off the bat, and if they’re dealing with something serious then they are going to take it very seriously.

So someone like Star-Lord, who is dealing with the fates of everyone he cares about as well as the entire universe, constantly cracking jokes and goofing off will drive any Cap nuts.

Relate To: Captain America

Anyone born under the sign of the sea goat is a lover of tradition, which makes Captain America appealing to them straight away.

But they’re also people of extremely strong and steadfast conviction, and if they truly believe in something then no one and nothing can put them off from it. Steve Rogers is extremely relatable to them in that sense.

Won’t Understand: Doctor Strange

Capricorns can really enjoy fantasy, but the truth is that in their own lives they are extremely grounded and focus on everything real. They don’t want to spend their time fantasizing, and they are naturally drawn to things that are realistic instead of esoteric.

So a character like Doctor Strange is going to be seriously lacking in appeal for them, since all of his abilities and experiences are otherworldly and, well, strange.

Relate To: Hawkeye

Any Capricorn respects the value of hard work and skill development, which is why they will have an instinctive appreciation and affinity for someone like Clint Barton.

Hawkeye is an exceptional individual, but it’s not because he was born a certain way or had certain gifts. He is just extremely skilled and he has done everything he can to magnify that skill, and even as a regular man he has figured out how to go toe to toe with insanely powerful beings.

Won’t Understand: Tony Stark

Tony Stark is a character that will not feel relatable to Capricorns at all. While any Cap is capable of great things, the one thing that they absolutely are not is a show off.

They want their abilities and work to speak for itself, and they find any arrogance or bragging to be incredibly off putting. The fact that Tony is constantly talking himself up will rub any Capricorn the wrong way.

Relate To: Jane Foster

If any Capricorn found themselves in a world that seems to be filled with magic and wonder, they would likely react to it in the exact same way that Jane Foster did.

They wouldn’t just accept it as magic at face value, and they would want to analyze and understand all of the unbelievable things they were experiencing. For Capricorn, actually understanding the magic would make it feel even more amazing and exciting.

Won’t Understand: Loki

Loki

Capricorns are extremely honest individuals who value their families over pretty much anyone or anything else in the world, so everything that Loki stands for is in direct conflict with what Capricorn feels and cares about.

Not to mention, if a Capricorn were gifted with the abilities of a literal god, they wouldn’t waste time on overly elaborate pranks and other forms of more malicious malfeasance.

Relate To: Black Panther

Although most signs would have trouble being the king of a country and keeping that title and that entire country a secret, Black Panther is a character who’s choices and behaviors are intrinsically linked to the Capricorn personality type.

T’Challa places an enormous value on his family, his country, his traditions, and his values, and he only reveals anything when he feels a moral obligation to do so.

Won’t Understand: Deadpool

On the other side of that coin, the merc with the mouth is everything that Capricorn would never be as a superhero. Deadpool is all about attitude, and the sea goat will not appreciate that at all.

Capricorns are also exceptionally moral, and they would never rent themselves out to the highest bidder or do something that crossed their ethical lines for money.
