19 Kids & Counting: Jill Celebrates Milestone Birthday Amid Controversy

Jill Duggar of 19 Kids & Counting decided to celebrate her milestone birthday in style and amid her brother Josh Duggar’s controversy. The reality star has been very outspoken in regards to the family drama.

The large family had always captured TLC viewers’ attention on their show 19 Kids & Counting. The show starred Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar and their 19 children. The large Arkansas family of devout Christians choose to live by strict standards and morals, which include the girls participating in courtships and dressing modestly (no pants are allowed). As the show went on, a dark side emerged when the eldest son Josh was accused of sexually abusing several of his Duggar sisters, as well as a family friend. The TLC network canceled the show in the end.

The mother of two boys showed off her time in the woods as she revved up to celebrate her 30th birthday! The TLC personality took to Instagram to share her birthday plans with her followers, which included a campout complete with hiking and scrambled eggs in a skillet. Jill shared with followers that she was thankful for her special family time, especially her husband.  She shared that she was Happily ready for my 30’s now!”

A cluster of pictures showed her enjoying time in nature as her young sons explored the river and campsite. She was all smiles even though she has had a rough couple of years thanks to family drama. Fans of the show will remember that Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, were not always shown in the best light on the front and eventually made their exit. The tension was mainly due to Derick’s opinions on women’s work and gay couples. Derick also caused a rift in the family by accusing Jim Bob of making his daughter ask permission to visit the family’s big house.

In most recent news, the eldest Duggar, Josh, was arrested on charges of child pornography which showed children under the age of 12. It was reported that Jim Bob warned his family that his son would be arrested and asked his children not to speak out on the matter. However, some of the older daughters from 19 Kids And Counting which include, Jessa, Jinger, Jill, and JoyAnna, have released statements condemning their brother’s actions.
