15 Major New Invincible Voice Actors Confirmed For Season 2 (& Who They Could Play)

Invincible will return for season 2 on November 3, 2023, and 15 new voice actors will make their debut as new characters in the upcoming episodes. The Amazon Prime Video animated television show is based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, and Cory Walker and tells the story of Mark Grayson. In the first season, Mark was a 17-year-old superhero named Invincible whose father, Omni-Man, was one of the greatest superheroes in the world, which means that he had a lot to live up to, and the pressure of being just like his dad weighed upon him.

The Invincible season 1 cast included Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson/Invincible, Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man, Gillian Jacobs as Samantha Eve Wilkins/Atom Eve, Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell, and many other famous actors. From Mark Hamill to Zazie Beetz, the list of voices featured in the animated series is stacked with stars, and the producers will add even more in season 2.

15 Chloe Bennet

15 Major New Invincible Voice Actors Confirmed For Season 2 (& Who They Could Play)

Chloe Bennet is set to voice a character in Invincible season 2, but unfortunately, Amazon Prime Video has not revealed who she is playing in the upcoming episodes. As a matter of fact, most of the actors’ characters on this list are unknown, but since the show has source material (via the comic books), we can speculate about who they are voicing in season 2. Bennet, whose previous credits include Agents of SHIELD, Abominable, and Dave, could be portraying Anissa, a Viltrumite warrior who will undoubtedly make an appearance in season 2, given the storyline.

14 Rob Delaney

Rob Delaney, a comedian best known for Catastrophe and Deadpool 2, will voice an undisclosed character in Invincible season 2. Although it’s difficult to theorize about which figure from the comic books he will play, there is an interesting theory going around that he will replace Ezra Miller, who voiced D.A. Sinclair in the first season. Sinclair is a mad scientist who mass-produced Reanimen, and Miller likely won’t return for season 2. So, one of the new cast members may voice Sinclair in the upcoming episodes, even if it’s not Delaney.

13 Jay Pharoah

The Invincible season 2 trailer revealed that Jay Pharoah would join the cast in the new episodes. Like the majority of actors on this list, it’s unknown which character Pharoah will voice. He may portray Darkwing II, but only time will tell which hero (or villain) Pharoah is playing. Previously, the actor was a Saturday Night Live cast member from 2010 to 2016.

12 Rhea Seehorn

Rhea Seehorn is one of the many stars joining the Invincible season 2 cast. The actress previously appeared in Better Call Saul as Kim Wexler, a role for which she earned two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Seehorn is also known for starring as Roxanne Harris in the NBC sitcom Whitney. As for the Amazon Prime Video animated series, Seehorn’s character is unknown, but she could be voicing Thula.

11 Kari Wahlgren

Kari Wahlgren in Criminal Minds.

Kari Wahlgren contributed her voice to Invincible season 2, and her role is also a mystery. The actress is most notable for voicing characters in television series and movies like Rick and Morty, DC Super Hero Girls, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Frozen II, and many more. Since Wahlgren is such a versatile performer, it’s difficult to pinpoint which character she is playing in the second season of the Amazon Prime Video series. It’s possible that she will be voicing numerous side characters.

10 Calista Flockhart

Supergirl Cat Grant Calista Flockhart

Calista Flockhart is a part of the Invincible season 2 voice cast, but, as is the case with many of the new actors, her character is a mystery. She previously appeared in Ally McBeal, Brothers & Sisters, and Supergirl, so she has some experience working in the superhero genre. Perhaps Flockhart will voice Embrace, a supervillain associated with The Order, but fans will have to wait for the episodes to know for certain.

9 Tim Robinson

One of the new members of the Invincible season 2 is Tim Robinson. Robinson is a comedian best known for Saturday Night Live and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, but he also has a plethora of voice roles, including Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Big City Greens, Solar Opposites, and Human Resources. Given his comedic history, it’s likely that Robinson’s role will be more light-hearted and affable rather than strictly heroic or sinister.

8 Sterling K. Brown

Sterling K. Brown is one of the few Invincible season 2 actors whose roles in the Amazon Prime Video animated series are known. The This Is Us and The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story star will voice Angstrom Levy in the television show. In the comic books, Angstrom Levy is a notorious villain who can create portals that allow him to travel across the multiverse (which will be a significant focal point in the upcoming season).

7 Tatiana Maslany

Tatiana Maslany, most known for playing the titular character in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and various roles in Orphan Black, will voice Queen Lizard in Invincible season 2. She previously portrayed the leader of the Lizard League in the “Invincible: Atom Eve” special that Amazon Prime Video released in July 2023. Since the Lizard League is returning in season 2, Maslany is set to reprise her role in the upcoming episodes.

6 Daveed Diggs

Daveed Diggs is also a part of the new Invincible season 2 cast, but Amazon Prime Video has not disclosed which character he is playing from the comic books. The actor originated the roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton, but he has also starred in Snowpiercer, Central Park, and The Little Mermaid. It’s speculated that Diggs, who can be heard saying, “I wish he was dead, too, but not for your sake,” in the trailer, is voicing Zandale Randolph/Bulletproof.

5 Ella Purnell

The roster for Invincible season 2 includes Ella Purnell. The actress previously starred in Never Let Me Go, Maleficent, Ordeal by Innocence, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and Yellowjackets. However, Purnell also has some voice acting experience since she has voiced Gwyn in Star Trek: Prodigy and Jinx in Arcane on Netflix. It’s possible that she will play Universa, a former member of the Coalition of Planets, in the upcoming episodes of the Amazon Prime Video series.

4 Ben Schwartz

Ben Schwartz is known for his various voice roles and his portrayal of Jean-Ralphio Saperstein in Parks and Rec, and he will add Invincible to his voice credits when season 2 premieres. Schwartz can be heard (but not seen) in the trailer, and his character says, “I am a normal human superhero.” Of course, this line has led many to believe he is playing Shapesmith in the animated superhero show.

3 Lea Thompson

Lea Thompson in Back to the Future

Lea Thompson has been cast in Invincible season 2, but the streaming service failed to disclose the role she is playing. The actress is notorious for starring as Lorraine Baines-McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy and the Freeform series Switched at Birth. Thompson could be playing a number of characters from the comic books, but our best guess is that she is voicing Andressa, a member of the Thraxans.

2 Jeffrey Dean Morgan

The new cast for Invincible season 2 includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but his role is unknown. The actor is best known for playing John Winchester in Supernatural and Negan in The Walking Dead universe. Although the options are limitless, Morgan could easily voice Conquest, a powerful member of the Viltrumites, in season 2, especially because Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that the character will appear in either season 2 or season 3. 1 Peter Cullen

Invincible Season 2 Peter Cullen Thaedus Voice

Peter Cullen, the legend who has voiced Optimus Prime in various Transformers media, will join the Invincible season 2 cast. Amazon Prime Video revealed that Cullen is playing Great Thaedus, who will undoubtedly play a significant role in the upcoming episodes. Thaedus is a Viltrumite who betrayed his people when he decided to take a stand against their beliefs, and Cullen’s character is seen saying, “Viltrumite versus Viltrumite. That hasn’t happened since the Great Purge,” in the Invincible season 2 trailer.
